Doesn't have the same heart as L4D, but if you crave more left 4 dead gameplay after playing all the campaigns like 40 times, B4B has got more modern feeling game play and new campaigns

tl;dr: This game is an excellent singleplayer rpg first-person shooter with interesting gameplay elements and finely crafted storytelling. Highly immersive, this game will make you think about life's realities, if you're willing to hear it's stories.
Also, if you want full suspense, don't Google things. Game tells you what you need to know...

Full Review:

What's OK with it:
*I picked up this game after patch 1.5 came out, and I personally never experienced any significant glitches. I think the most jank thing that I experienced was the crowd pathfinding was kinda awkward.
*Do not be fooled, this game does not allow you to be anyone you want to be in the story. You play as the mercenary character V. You have maybe a little more control over them than Commander Shepard, but I find that fits into the game's themes just fine.
*Given the franchise's history in tabletop rpgs, this open-world game felt like it should have been an immersive sim (eg Deus Ex), but it was primarily just fun kill or stealth problem solving.
*This game has pretty decent gunplay with interesting elements, including a few that I haven't played in other games. If you arn't an FPS nut, there's a gun class that autotargets (I never used it, but could be useful for controller play)
*There's a hacking mechanic that's pretty fun if you spec into it. My friend described it as Watchdogs but fun.
*Character appearance customization is robust enough for the fact that you only ever see your character in the inventory screen and in the occasional mirror. Definitely has the right aesthetic.
*You can also mod your character to get interesting bonuses and gameplay elements.
*Vehicles are fun to drive (if you have a controller) with a great radio selection as you move between destinations (I only used fast travel twice because the drives were nice enough).
*Very robust user settings, including a huge number of controller settings for really dialing in a good (enough) controller setup (I usually do FPS w/ keyboard but went controller for this game for being able to recline in my chair and also for vehicle control.)

What's GREAT about it:
*This game is excellent for immersion (disclaimer, I played this game almost exclusively stoned. It was worth it because of how easily I was able to immerse myself in the game, but that may bias my perception of it)
*Cyberpunk 2077 shines in it's delivery of it's narratives, from the passive world elements to the character dialogue to the gameplay elements. I thought the delivery of most story beats were artful in some form.
*There are a modest number of main and side quests (about 70 hours of content that I was interested in playing, though there are more, and I haven't done a second playthrough yet), but each of those quests had very compelling stories.
*Ultimately, this game asks you to question what is the self, and where do the thoughts in your head come from. I thought this game both had important commentary on the lives we all live, and lessons for how to live one's own life.
*Very well crafted environments. Everything in this game felt very true to the world, I played it on a GXT 1080, and it wouldn't blow your socks off, but I was happy with the performance (needed to update my drivers tho).
*Memorable characters. There are few enough characters that it feels personal, and their delivery is great (voice actress for V did a fantastic job).
*For me, this game delivers in terms of how decisions you make over the course of the game effect the ultimate outcome. Definitely better than Mass Effect 3. The game keeps a mystery about how much your decisions have an effect on the story, but tells you everything you need to know if you listen to it. I only looked up how things worked after I played it, which I think was the right move. Not knowing adds to the suspense of the game.

What's not great about it:
*Not a huge standout in terms of current FPS. It's definitely a fun FPS, but it's no Titanfall 2.
*The game was practically unplayable for some people at launch due to bugs. In retrospect, I'm glad they prioritized elements like narrative cohesiveness, but the gameplay bugs were inexcusable. Again, I played after 1.5 patch and had no issues on PC
*You can't play out your personal character from the Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop. Sorry, it's just V. You can play their customized backstory tho, which gives you unique dialogue options throughout the game.
*Deus Ex fans will be disappointed that they can't exploit game-play elements use creative problem solving to complete missions. Seriously though, the sneaking elements offer the most problem solving.
*Did not live up to the hype. It's not what you'd hope it'd be. But if you didn't know what it was in the first place, Chombatta, you're in for a good time.

Still not sold? Listen to the main menu theme (in game version). It communicates to you what you're about to experience. Good luck.
