I have played this on my friends PS5 and just had to buy it on steam. Such a beautiful game, From the music scores by Lorian Testard to the visuals and breathtaking narrative, everything blends well to create an unforgettable experience.

If anyone asks me how can a video game be considered art, I would show them this game. From the deep and engaging narrative, story and characters, to the awesome locations and gorgeous scenery. I would recommend this game 10000%, even if you don't like turn-based games.

The pacing was really really slow in the Cinematics. The puzzles were standalone and barely related to any part of the story or narrative. I liked how the game was a bit gory and that alone had an impact but ultimately it leaves so much to be explained at the ending.

The puzzles were something of a chore after sometime and rarely in the end with a head thing and blind navigating it got fun and challenging. But if you take away the puzzles this game is a full on cinematic with nothing missing from the plot. The characters you meet are also unrelated to the plot (you missing your childhood friend and what happened to you two).
The ending was super shallow. and lacked any reward for my 7.6 hours of gameplay.

Spoilers about the ending:
It started with a friend gone and it ended in the same place with no new event. while the "Memory" actual game of the 2 friends spending time together climbing the mountain was filled with characters that were devices to further the plot rather than actually existing in a breathing and alive narrative.

after the ending me and my partner didn't get why they saw the world differently and if Haru was actually the monster in the end or not. either way it felt super unexplained and just something like a nightmarish dream with no reason why everything is happening.

What can I say? I am in love with the game. Since years ago when I played the Early Access to this very play session that I finished, I felt the magic of the narrative and the beauty of the world at every step.

I experienced twists, turns, friendship and romance while I haven't even finished act 2 in my first playthrough. I love how natural everything is and the story unravels in an amazing pace, allowing adventure and exploration so you can experience more of the world and what the game offers.

The gameplay is amazing, some minor bugs do happen which are mostly funny than annoying and the turn based combat allows my mind to ease in to the game and have more time to actually absorb what is happening during the combat. It's so fluid and as you level up your party, amazing and different paths open.

I truly hope If you love a deep and rich world building, you would buy and experience this game even if the CRPG gameplay is not your style.

The game is still getting UPDATED WITH 12 NEW SUBCLASSES. SOOOO HYPPPPED

Head to https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/1486-prototype-resolution-and-fov-fix/, download the file, extract it, pick your preferred FoV (I'd recommend Even Higher) and replace the one in the game's directory. Otherwise you're locked into 720p or below.

Before you launch the game, you have to go into task manager, right click on Steam, go to details, right click Steam.exe, Set Affinity and untick all but CPU 0-3. Otherwise the game will crash.

If your monitor is above 60Hz, go into your AMD or NVIDIA control panel, set the 3D settings for specific program, find Prototypef.exe or click Prototype if it's available, force the max FPS to 60 or set your refresh rate to 60Hz and turn Vsync on. Otherwise your mouse will be jittery and experience horrible acceleration.

This game is an awesome MMO and if you really miss the calmness of Elder Scrolls then this is for you to enjoy solo or like me with friends and just explore the vast worlds of this game
