Walking simulator and the story reads not much different than live journal entries.

This might as well be called "Lara Croft: The Walking Simulator".

Unless you really want to know how the series ends, don't bother, there is almost no action, all the weapons, upgrades and skill tree are pointless, there's less than 10 combat sequences in the entire game, gets very boring around half the way through.

Pretty much all of the tombs and crypts are on a very strict straight line, there are very few puzzles compared to the previous titles and no real open areas, they are tiny and limited.

All the resource gathering, item upgrades, extra clothing, skill training, etc. is pointless, you'll only use any of it for less than 10% of the total play time, so you end up grinding and collecting stuff for nothing.

The storyline's main queen NPC is incredibly dull and boring and has an insuferable resting biotch face, every time she was on screen i just wanted the cutscene to be over.

The main villain is not much better, he's all over the place and not entertaining or imposing at all.

The ending fight is bland and disapointing, there is no challenge at all.

If you're really up for a very long walking sim, then at least wait unti it's on sale, otherwise you're better off just watching a play through or the cutscenes on youtube, you'll get almost as much interactivity from that as you would get from the game.

A great game that needs a sequel.
