This game sucks up so much of my time, I've bought it for my Android and iOS devices too, and have played an unhealthy amount that I'm glad my Steam playtime can't reveal.

This game is pretty buggy still, but if you have an RTX or top end AMD card, I think you should pick this game up.

The animation in this game isn't the greatest. If you play at easier difficulty levels than master and harder than story mode, you can kind of button-mash your way through most combat without learning how the combat actually works, which means when you fight some of the last bosses in the game you start encountering a lot of problems. I usually play through games like this on "Medium" or "Normal" difficulty, because I don't have a lot of time to devote to slamming into something difficult repeatedly.

For Fallen Order that was a mistake. After slamming into a boss and failing at ~20% life left repeatedly for over an hour, I went out and found a similar enemy with a checkpoint nearby, and cranked the difficulty up and practiced the actual fighting mechanics for 30 minutes, as sort of remedial gameplay. When I came back to the boss I was able to 1 shot him. All of the enemies have very predictable patterns,

Earlier to friends I was giving this game ~8.1/10. There are still some things I dislike. The animations are absolutely terrible. There is a flash back scene that is particularly atrocious. The story is very good, and the fighting feels a lot better once you understand it instead of just button mashing your way through it. There are some major QoL aspects I think the game needs. I collected a large amount of the lore, and it's the only reason some of the things happening in the game made sense. Lore should have been tracked for you on the map, or should have played automatically when you were in an area. Several of the planets needed either better shortcuts, or fast travel locations (perhaps even just alternate landing locations unlocked at specific points in the story). I think after beating it and getting a better idea of how the game works I'd give it an 8.9/10.

This game has extremely solid PvE content, and pretty relaxed PvP content. When you first start, you should probably check out Reddit for some New Light guides that may answer questions you have about game mechanics or how to prioritize your time. I highly recommend once you've gotten your character some gear you take a look at the LFG channel and find some groups to run you through some of the older raids or dungeon content (dungeons are different from Strikes, think of them as miniature raids).

This is one of the best Telltale games. Of recent the "interactive movie"/QTE event games, only Life is Strange solidly beats this game out.

This game is really underrated, with the current sale any fan of FPS games should give it a try.

This game should be good. The beginning of the core mysteries are fantastic, the graphics are simple but still beautiful. The adventure game mechanics are solid, and the dialogue and development of the friendship between Henry and Delialah is amazing. The pay off to the story is awful. At a little over 2 hours into the game (maybe not if you sprint through everything, or don't have the game crash a couple times like I did) the game suddenly reveals the truth behind all of the mysteries and then you leave the forest and the game is over. It is utterly unsatisfying.

Buy this game when it's on sale. There are a few game design problems [1] with this game that keep it from being on my list of "you must buy this game" at the original price of $40, but the sale prices definitely bring it down to a point where you're a fool if you don't buy it. The game is fun, and the story is well written. It's very difficult to tell the story they included in this game while staying true to the "show don't tell" technique, but Croteam handled it almost perfectly.

[1] inconstency with puzzles, poor design skills for teaching new techniques, a few levels are solved in ways that are counter to the normal mechanics of the game, and when levels only really have a single solution, the "complete every puzzle" aspect means you can't skip levels with frustrating mechanics.

This is one of the greatest RPG's of all time, behind only Baldurs Gate 2. We've grown so used to "fetch quests" being the norm for side-quests, having a game where all of the side quests are written as full quests, with their own story arc is mind blowing.
