“This game isn’t for everyone — you’ll either love it or hate it.

If you’re into fast-paced games, chances are you won’t enjoy it. And if your focus/retention is low, it’ll be tough to get through since the game takes its time, especially with the story and all the cargo-walking aspects.

The beginning of the story feels a bit boring, but it picks up and gets interesting later. That said, the storytelling has its flaws — info dumping, unnecessary details, some weird dialogue choices, and a few cringe cutscenes.

Still, it’s something unique, and I really liked the gameplay mechanics. Like I said, if it clicks with you, you’ll enjoy it — if not, it’s definitely not for you. Vehicles, though, are pretty trash, especially the big ones, not fun at all.”

If you buy this game or claim it for free during a Steam event like I did, I recommend starting your first playthrough in Survival Mode for the classic, tense experience. Then switch to Spartan Mode to complete achievements more easily.

The game scared the hell out of me in the first playthrough — the atmosphere is intense and really well done.

Graphics still hold up today. I didn’t encounter any bugs during my playthrough, but be careful: the game can crash if you try to overwrite a previously played chapter while switching difficulty or game modes. Best to start a fresh run when changing settings.

One of the Best Open World Games I've Played in Recent Years

The story is pretty mid, nothing groundbreaking — but the real magic lies in the world. Hogwarts and its surroundings are absolutely stunning, and just wandering around is a joy.

Combat can get repetitive, but it's still fun and satisfying enough to keep you engaged. The puzzles might feel hard at first, but once you understand how they work, you'll find yourself hunting down every single one — they’re addictive in the best way.

The NPCs are mostly just set dressing. They help make the world feel alive, but don't expect deep interactions or memorable side characters.

Overall, if you're here for immersion, exploration, and the fantasy of being in Hogwarts, this game delivers big time.
