The Illuminate have returned after being 100% destroyed, how can this be?!?

The how doesn't really matter to the Helldivers, unless you're asking how much ink you can squeeze out of each of the squids standing between yourself and freedom!

The first time I made it to Sky Meadows I hit the teleporter and got turned to a small pile of ash as a Grandparent summoned the unrelenting power of the sun to decimate me. I thought I would never make it further than this for a few more runs.

Now I have become the Grandparent and I use the very fabric of the universe to destroy everything in front of, next to and even across the map from myself. Until I hit a combat shrine and 50 Gups spawn in, turning my CPU into the Grandparents sun attack and turning me into ash in real life.

Unspeakable horrors will pursue you no matter where you are :)

Funny vore simulator, very enjoyable.
Short yet enjoyable experience, managed to 100% the game in under 5 hours but had fun the whole time. If you don't keep track of the things you missed it can be hard to backtrack when you get the relevant abilities but there are guides and maps if you don't want to waste too much time.
The twist of playing as the monster in a game has been done before and will be done again, but the way it's done in Carrion is wonderful, you start off seemingly powerful against the humans until eventually they show up with weapons and armour, so you skulk around in vents and hidden areas to pick them off before eventually finding some upgrades. You adapt to the new threats and become powerful again, THEN THEY SHOW UP WITH BETTER WEAPONS. So the process repeats until you've evolved to become more powerful than anything the pathetic humans can come up with. You've won.

Anyway - 10/10, enjoyable, can be played in short bursts or if you've got a whole day to spare you could probably blast through the main experience in one sitting.

Such a unique experience within the survival horror genre. Although the game is relatively short and has some issues with the later levels, the games positives far outweigh the few negatives I managed to come across. Even having to replay chunks of the game due to an achievement bug didn't bother me, because most of the game is designed so well that it's fun to run through a few times. The voice acting is incredibly well done, and though the story is rather simple, it is told in a really effective way that you could really lean into if you're interested, or completely avoid and ignore if you just came for the one-armed cripple game play.

9/10 from me :)
