I’ve put about 50 hours into Dune Awakening so far since the head start, and honestly, it’s been a really good time. The desert landscapes are gorgeous—walking across those rolling dunes with the wind in your face feels pretty immersive. Harvesting spice is nerve-wracking (who knew dodging sandworms could be so tense?), and the combat has a decent weight to it, whether you’re swinging a crysknife or shooting something with a rifle. The building is pretty in-depth and there are plenty of cosmetic skins and decorations to play with! There are a few rough edges—occasional frame drops in really big sandstorms and a couple of quests that felt a bit repetitive—but nothing game-breaking. If you’ve ever wanted to see what surviving on Arrakis might actually feel like, give it a shot. I’ve been having a blast.
