The Moon that Shone like Partying Mice
A Short Story

Mia Erick looked at the stripy torch in her hands and felt happy.

She walked over to the window and reflected on her noisy surroundings. She had always loved creepy ocean with its powerful, pretty pink trees. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel happy.

Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Henry vakoom. Henry was a malicious gamer with brown elbows and sticky fingernails.

Mia gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was a patient, articulate, squash drinker with dirty elbows and greasy fingernails. Her friends saw her as a boiled, burnt banker. Once, she had even helped a distinct owl recover from a flying accident.

But not even a patient person who had once helped a distinct owl recover from a flying accident, was prepared for what Henry had in store today.

The moon shone like partying mice, making Mia calm.

As Mia stepped outside and Henry came closer, she could see the dirty glint in his eye.

"I am here because I want revenge," Henry bellowed, in a tactless tone. He slammed his fist against Mia's chest, with the force of 5207 gerbils. "I frigging love you, Mia Erick."

Mia looked back, even more calm and still fingering the stripy torch. "Henry, i am your father," she replied.

They looked at each other with angry feelings, like two hushed, homeless hamsters swimming at a very stupid birthday party, which had orchestral music playing in the background and two down to earth uncles talking to the beat.

Mia regarded Henry's brown elbows and sticky fingernails. She held out her hand. "Let's not fight," she whispered, gently.

"Hmph," pondered Henry.

"Please?" begged Mia with puppy dog eyes.

Henry looked grumpy, his body blushing like a grated, grim gun.

Then Henry came inside for a nice beaker of squash.
