Introduction:
I just want to start with this review by stating I really love and enjoy this game.
It's no secret this game was inspired by PokéMon however it very different and I'll explain why.

----------------------------------------------Battling----------------------------------------------

1) The battle system is always two on two unless either side cannot fill both slots in which it'll resort to 1vs2 or 2vs1, already this forces players to create teams to combat this system, unlike certain games you cannot power level one entity to carry everything to end game.

1.2) The battling system does not feature critical or accuracy, this ensures combat is strictly strategic and removes the factors of fluke.

1.3) Unlike certain games Temtem features a stamina bar which will impact a player's choice on moves, rather than spamming the strongest move you'll have to wait turns for it to be available and to manage your stamina to ensure you can use it without over exerting.

1.4) Status are clearly shown and are managed by turns, its been known for poison to last the entire entity's life until it faints, with Temtem there's a turn system, the higher the turn calculation, better setup is required such as synergy and turn/stamina demanding the move it.

1.5) Temtem also features a synergy as mentioned last bullet point, synergy is a move that adds additional statuses, damage or effects from having the correct combination of Temtem such as Stone ball synergies with fire to create a rock move with fire additions if you have a fire tem present.

---------------------------------------Immersive Experience---------------------------------------

2) Temtem has beautiful immersive worlds, not much will be added in such designs as it could be invoked as a spoiler, but there's different scenes through out Temtem and a lot of places are worthy of admiring, this beautiful art has resulted in me also purchasing the Temtem book to indulge further.

2.1) Something I really like about Temtem is their Tem designs, you can see some inspiration from Pokémon such as Kuri resembles a Cubone, but Temtem have remain to using simple and effective designs, creating creatures that have a unique form, this is where I feel some games have failed by making Cake, Teapot and Motorbike entities.

2.2) Not everybody wants to just battle, I'm personally a farmer, I enjoy trying to obtain as many Luma Temtems possible (Luma is the unique version of the Temtem with a sparkling shine and with a different pallet of colours which are very different from the natural design... unlike some games.) you can customise your own house, farm, breed and even battle your way through challenging opponents to own locations across the game.

2.3) The story line is detailed and long, unlike certain games where you can reach the final battle within hours Temtem offers a long rich story which personally took me around 50 hours to complete the story line alone, let alone the additional end game content that follows.

2.4) Something that had always bothered me with some games is the vast amount of space and no one occupying it, almost feels like the world is made up of 100 people or less, with Temtem's cross platform you're able to see and greet players from any platform in any location of the map and more importantly Co-op with anyone, anywhere on any device allowing for some easy and fun time with friends.

2.5) Slouching in your chair in your five year old Nike bottoms and a slightly oversized shirt? not to worry you can look pretty in game! with many hairs, tops, bottoms, backpacks and even outfits (being top and bottom combined) you can shake up your look, don't like your hat being a dull dark colour? Spice it up with dyes! go pink, yellow, even luma colours which radiate a radioactive glow!

---------------------------------------In Game Additions---------------------------------------

3) Something that caused a bit of an uproar was the in game shop and battle pass, however this offers no benefits, it only offers emotes, costumes, dyes, mount skins and so forth. A Crema Dev had confirmed it'll never be pay to win and will always remain as a luxury to those who wish to support the game as it continues look after its player base with a hard working team delivering content.

3.1) Clubs are somewhat the same as guilds and clans in other MMO games, you can have a band of friends or battle hungry fighters to fight your way to the top with. This fun feature is a good way to meet new friends in a more subtle environment or meet like minded players who'll share tips and tricks on fitting the meta with such builds.

3.2) Trading is a major part of my life, I've always enjoyed handling money be that buying, selling or even trading product for product, and with the auction house and trade chat features it really allows for those money hungry people to monopoly their way up into riches by flipping auction house products or simply buying lumas that you'd otherwise struggle to farm. (I'm always buying new and exciting Lumas to show off!)

----------------------------------------------Pros----------------------------------------------

As you can see this will be a bias due to the way I explained all of above, but Temtem offer a relaxing environment for me, I come off a competitive game and I find myself relaxing by farming for Lumas, training new competitive tems and sometimes indulging in the auction house.

1) Is it worth the Money? Straight up, yes, I've suggested it to many and streamed it as well, enticing friends to desire and even buy it.

2) Will I get my Money's worth? Again yes, with the story taking at least 35 hours to complete, hours into side content and many upon many hours into end game content you'll most certain exceed the hours in this game that you would have in half of your steam library.

3) How does the game cater to it's community? Although this aspect isn't aimed to me specifically I can credit the work they've put into it, you can choose your pronouns, gender and look, if you want to be a They/Them female avatar with male appearance, you can choose to do so right at the beginning, a She/Her male with long beautiful hair and a cute skip to your step? they have that too.

4) The story line, I'm going to relate this directly to PokéMon as I find it's the best example, over the years villains and rivals have been mean and bad, engaging with them and combating their progression towards their evil goal has always seemed justified, however in the most recent games they seem less justified such as fighting people who are being "loud".
Temtem has a really immersive story with a good plot, I didn't find anything to be childish or ill planned about their bad guys and even offers humorous actions for a small exhale from the nose and a lil smile without ruining the immersion.

----------------------------------------------Cons----------------------------------------------

1) The price, It's not something I disagree with, I feel the product is worth the money however friends and others are reluctant due to the price. If you're financially able without any defects for spending it I do recommend to consider this game to be among the others you may be eyeing up.

2) community, there's no game where you won't bump into challenging people, I've encountered a couple of toxic or annoying people and it's a little discouraging, however this is less than 1% of the community and interacting with them have no impact on your game, if someone's unsporting in your chat, just block and enjoy your experience without them!

3) Finally a lot of things run on RNG, I've found myself sometimes committing to things such as luma hunting for very long periods without ever finding one, this can also be the same for your weekly fishing task and other RNG based grinds, although this is not a bad thing, it's something to consider if you don't like committing to goal with unknown finishing lines.

Feel free to correct any errors.
