Excellent simracing/driving game.

Review of version 0.1 (first release of early access) after 19h of playtime. The review will be updated when the full game is released.


I have no doubt that this game will become one of the best simracing/driving games, just like the original Assetto Corsa. As expected, the content of this first version is fairly limited, but that's enough to give you an initial impression.

Starting with the most important thing, the physics are excellent and the pure driving aspect of the game is brilliant. The foundations are very solid and driving any car is just a pleasure.

The graphics, sound, and FFB (after some tweaking) are all great.
All the cars interiors/exteriors are identical to their real-life counterparts, a lot of attention to details. Even the engine/engine bay is modelled.
The selection of cars is diverse.
Driving in the rain is very good.
Relatively stable (3 crashes in 19 hours), I was expecting worse.
Steering wheel (Logitech G27) spotted immediately and no problem whatsoever.


All of this is great, HOWEVER, i think we were all surprised by the fact that this game is basically online-only. It is something that had never been mentionned before. You need to be online to fully enjoy it, even if you want to play solo... And when the servers are down (which has been the case since the game was released 3 days ago), the 75% of the content/features is unavailable. Yeah, not good...

Other negative points:
Poor optimisation/performance
VR is unplayable from what I've heard
Servers still offline, 3 days after release, which severely limits content
Graphical bugs with some AMD GPU's (RX 7800XT for me)
Various other bugs


So there you have it, as it stands the game is relatively raw, unpolished, with little content, but the physics and driving are incredible. I'm not worried that most of the issues will be fixed quickly. The foundations are solid and the developers (Kunos) have a great reputation and have already proved that they know how to make an excellent game.

It is very promising and I can't wait to see the final game (V1.0 by the end of the year), and I hope it will be as (or even more) successful as the original Assetto Corsa.
