This is an excellent 2d rogue-like/upgrade shooter.
Its been in early access for while but has had constant updates on its journey so it's one that I keep coming back to - or can't stay away from.
Heartily recommended!

The core mechanic is very fun (and quite unusual). It's a fun way to spend some time.

I seem to have accidentally learned to write javascript.

I could code already and while that's helpful, it's absolutely not essential .
This is a fun little game, well worth a look.

Very beautiful game, never had any problems running it so enjoyed my time very much.

It's a rogue-like with some run to run progesssion that's handled really well. I was pleasantly surprised by the story being so engaging, and the voice acting is on point too. I'm a real fan of the humour, this game knows what it is and grabs it with both hands, excellent writing.

The game itself is really well executed, and well...fun. It's fast, and there's a lot going on but it always feels controlled. The different weapons give some genuinely distinctive styles and I really enjoyed being able to pick my path/rewards so often. Going back to the dialogue, there's loads of variety in there so each run through has felt different and characters often react to your last run, or prior events.

Really glad i picked this up!

It's a programming game, but it sneaks up on you!

I wouldn't have decided to learn assembly intentionally, but it kind of happened by accident playing through this.
Actually quite fun, though some of the later challenges were a little easier to write in notepad++ and copy in as the IDE is a little clunky for the more complex tests.

All in, a fun distraction for around 10hrs get it for cheap.

Grabbed this in the sale as I'd quite enjoyed The Wonderful End of the World which is a clone of this - figured I'd enjoy the original more. There is however a striking difference between this, quite lazy, port and a game developed for PC.

KD still has the attraction of the base game - rolling over stuff to collect it is actually quite fun but it's so poorly implemented it's hard to recommend. As some quick examples, why is the menu [tab] not [esc] !?, why can't you set full screen until completing the tutorial.

Guess maybe I was expecting too much from a cheap rehash of ps2 game. If you like this kind of game keeping looking for a better incarnation.

Probably one of the most fun games i've played in ages - sure it had some balance issues at launch but it has matured very nicely. It lives up to the promise of V1 while delivering some significant improvements.
As it's co-op this is a blast to play with friends, it can be a challenging game, but with a genuinely high skill ceiling.

Melee combat in this game has the best feel of any game I have ever played.

... and around 2,000 hours after i wrote that it's still absolutely true - V2 remains the single best melee combat I have ever played.
It's easy to pick up and have fun with, but rewards time invested with a remarkably high skill ceiling. Crucially it's all situational, there's not one particular meta move to practice.
It's a series of 'oh sh!t' moments strung together - which is supremely rewarding.
It's also on sale loads, get it!

This is a very fun game, perfect for playing on the couch with a few friends.
Unlocks, through collected coins, are plenitful and never feel too far away.

Also nice to have an active and attentive developer adding content and improvements.

A very simple game that is easy to pick up with the intention of playing a quick round and then realising you've been playing for ages.
