Gameplay is solid - just as good as Vermintide 2 except the devs managed to make the ranged weapon gameplay even better than before.
Art is good - fits in about how I expect the "universe" to look, based off of Space Marine and Space Hulk look.
Everything else - bad. Bad enough I refunded it. As of right now, Darktide is a great example of everything wrong with the games industry. Half-baked, limited customization - but never fear, the paid cosmetic shop is working great with even more paid skins on the way.

I really wanted to like this game, but I cannot support it in it's current state. Hopefully in the future Darktide will be a really good game.

9k players during the free weekend. Too many monsters, please try a hunter? Goodie, I prefer hunters over monsters myself. 30 minutes later, still trying to find a monster to fight against. 20 minutes later, trying to find hunters. 5 minutes later, playing solo with stupid AI teammates.

Everything I've seen so far indicates that the devs have stopped supporting this game. Another game made of unity assets thrown together in a blender and then sold for cash. Also, it's unplayable since all the servers are down and they won't be coming back up.

Do-Gooder manages to kill everyone inside post-apocalyptic shelter while trying to save them.
Turns out it was all in your head (but they're still all dead).

Fairly interesting, from a slightly morbid perspective.

Loaded up a shotgun, started robbing a bank while wearing a clown mask, shot my teammates in the back and killed the getaway driver. 10/10. I'm sure Joker would approve.

Having played through the campaign only once - due to it being a free trial - I can definitely say this. This game is sad. Not sad in it's terrible, it's a wonderful game that excels in few ways I've ever known, but rather it's story is sad. Like watching a drama only to have a beloved character die. I doubt I'll ever play this again, but this I can say - every gamer should play it at least once. It's that potent. It draws you in, captivates you. This is not a game, this is a work of art.

I'd put a lengthy review as to why you should get it, but that'd take too long. Suffice to say, it's awesome.

One of my first games and the standard by which I judge all others. You can't go wrong with getting this. This is the logical choice.
