Ong Bak was more tongue in cheek than I expected, but my main problem with it was that the choreography during the fights wasn't all too good, and both the plot and characters were incredibly 2D. Also it was pretty obvious how everything would go down from the start.
My personal top 3 is still:
1. Fearless
2. The Raid
3. Enter The Dragon
I'll see if any of the other movies I listed yesterday will supplant any of those.
I stick with my original, misinformed vote of "it was okay".
WHAT THE TWIST!?
Sigh.
I have now lost pretty much all interest in House of Flying Daggers as the movie quickly became "The Continuing Improbable and Unbelievable Adventures of a Blind Woman"
Will see it through, but I have no clue why.
Also on my list:
Ip Man
Ong-Bak
The Legend of the Drunken Master
Merantau (from the dude who directed The Raid)
Dragons Forever
The Shaolin Temple
