It's a great game. You could say it mixes elements of games like Wasteland/XCOM in terms of turn based combat (I recommend "show hit percentage" official mod however), Fallout 1/2 in terms of grotesque quests/dialogues and pop-culture references, Fallout 4 in terms of perks-based character development (check requirements for top-tier perks to build your mercs squad optimally) and even Stellaris in term of high level squad management (downtime for repairs and healing) and resources (capture mine sector for cash flow-in). And they managed that while still staying faithful to original Jagged Alliance 2 done over 20 years ago!
