The game is incredibly fun, when it works, that is. More often than not, especially during events, you will be met with server errors and near-constant disconnects, making the game almost unplayable. Besides, you do lose all your progress and newfound items, as they're server intances. Unless there is a way to know that my game session won't be terminated I simply cannot fully immerse and enjoy the game, as the constant fear of losing it all is too much.
EDIT: got to the end of the second act. It seems that without minmaxing your build there is no way to kill the final boss, given you don't want to spend 5 hours attempting and hoping that maybe this time you will get through his attacks safely. Overall, the first 8-10 hours are fun, and you feel yourself growing stronger and more powerful with each level up, but then the game slows down, the maps get incredibly large and empty, just swarmed with tons of enemies that will easily surround you and end you, respawning every entity again and making you go through the whole place from the checkpoint.
Overall, it just gets too stressfull and time-consuming by the middle-end of act 2, especially to beginners like me. Boss fights clearly need some rebalancing, as as of right now it's usually just a large health pool mob with one-shot attacks and boring patterns.
