As someone who has played 3 FES, 3 Portable, watched the movies and read the manga.
This is the best way to experience Persona 3 - The Journey (the base content)
It includes the additions and improvements of FES (better S-Link pacing), AIGIS S-Link, and QoL improvements from later games - Direct Control, Fusion Skill selection, Baton Pass (Shift), Faster Paced Battles.
Huge improvements and streamlining to Tartarus - the removal of the tiredness mechanic is a big one, the clocks to save grinding solo with one party member to catch them up.

It's a damn solid experience all around, it's a graphical beauty too - though for people on AMD cards, make sure to turn off reflections in settings. This is what they call Ray Tracing, and it murders performance in busy areas such as Paulownia Mall and Tartarus Entrance, and doesn't really add much to the game graphically.

I like it, if they add The Answer, this will be a 100% replacement for FES.
But I mean, you will probably not play the Answer in FES anyway.

It's a great bundle of great games! Loved this series on GBA.

Okay, so get this. VRChat mixed with GMod and the entirity of the Unity game engine.
That's the crux of NEOS.
Mix in amazing graphics, a very very in depth scripting system, and you have a social VR experience that is almost limitless what you can do with.
Wanna make your avatar transform on an ear press? Sure!
There are no limits like VRC's Unity Animator based AV3.0 systems, you can go absolutely wild with Logix!

It's really really impressive, and in ~64 hours, I know I am still at the tip of the iceberg, and can't wait to spend much more time learning everything in NEOS.

I highly recommend it!

SteamVR is great though, the best ecosystem out there.
Compatible with literally any VR product you can think of, can be hacked to do whatever you need it to (want to use Vive controllers with an Oculus product, sure! Want to create your own hacky ideas, go ahead!)

Current update 1.13.4 has incredibly bad frame stutters that murders any fun this game had.

Shame I didn't play this more.
And it's sad that yet again another Early Access game has disappeared into the void of never being completed by it's developers.
Guess I'll have another game in my PC library that will forever be unable to play now.
