I was 4 years old when i first played the original, i love it ever since, my favorite game ever, and they came out and made it even more better than it was. It has so many QoL updates and the same systems they had with crafting and specialties have all been improved, I love it so much, every one should give the demo a shot and see the game for themselves, its a masterpiece

They made promises in the past, delaying content for the first game, just to come around and say, they stopped it, and now we are stuck with this trash

Games kind of fun, but don't buy it yet, it has a lot of stuttering issues and random crashes, my game crashed while i was talking to a merchant, i tried to refund it, but i exceeded the time, of course most of my problems came afterwards, Wait until they fix it for PC, if you have a console, buy it on that instead, i'm so angry right now

I have just made it to 4k hours and i will say, for me personally, Dota is an amazing game, the character designs are amazing, gameplay is solid and it's in my opinion the best Moba out there, because you can play any character anyway you want, depending on certain factors, but there feels like more freedom than when i play other Mobas.

For example, in LoL, if i play Garen mid, i'm a dumbass to my partners and I threw the game, in dota, you can play Axe mid and have a good time.

One other con though, is the learning curve, i feel like valve should do more to help newer players understand the mechanics like pulling, stacking and etc. i had to learn from a guide, nothing wrong with doing that, but they should see if they could work with the community to try and show the newer players how some of that stuff works

Other than that, for me personally, i give dota an 8/10, try it out, don't let others ruin your experience, mute them if you have to, and good luck and have fun!!

Bad, new characters are cool, but we were lied to about the dedicated servers coming out this summer, they delayed it, and this peer to peer system is all that great, garbage hit boxes, just not worth the stress anymore, i might delete for the 3rd time, not to sure yet, but we will see!
