I started playing Destiny 2 day one, having played the original and loving it I hoped that I would love this game just as much if not more. It wasn't off to a good start. Most of the progression was based around weekly reset so after you were done with everything, you don't touch it until next Tuesday. That same system is still here, but after they started adding to the game with each new expansion adding tons of new things to grind for (except for Curse of Osiris, you know what you did). Strikes in the current system feel rewarding when I never touched them in year one. And yeah there are a ton of balancing issues in both the pvp and pve sandboxes but Bungie actually listens to player feedback and attempts to fix things in a timely manner (Except for you Izanagi's Burden). They have some let downs every now and again but what developer is without fault. Though there are a lot of things that people say to criticize the game, I really enjoy the direction Bungie is taking this game and I feel that it will only get better from here.

Edit: Man I could not have been more wrong with my original review. This game has become a bounty grind fest and a very unenjoyable one at that. The seasonal content idea was something that was iffy with me from the start. I feel that the way they are handling things at this point in time is extremely tone deaf and doesn't do a good job at representing what we as players want. Everything that has been added this season from guardian games to the felwinter's lie quest to even the main story content of the season is locked behind a ridiculous amount of mindless farming of extremely mundane tasks and it is why I haven't touch much of it. I still haven't gotten through the story stuff as I have no interest in farming bounties over and over again like we have been for the past 2 seasons. Until Bungie realizes that this isn't fun and rewarding content, I cannot recommend this game. Wait until the next expansion comes out and hopefully we will have some fun and rewarding content for you to hop into.

Edit 2: I am keeping my negative review but i am enjoying what they are doing with pve for the most part. Deep Stone Crypt is a really fun raid with new mechanics that require tons of coordination amongst your teammates. The hawkmoon and dead man's tale quests were incredibly fun and having random roll exotics again is awesome. Lots of other pve sandbox changes this expansion make tons of weapons viable, such as slug shotguns and even rocket launchers. But with all the good things bungie is doing with pve, pvp is the exact opposite. Stasis is WAY too powerful for hunters and warlocks and it is just not fun to play against in any way, shape, or form. It takes way too long to get unfrozen and having a field grenade for it is just plain dumb. I can't see a way for bungie to balance stasis in pvp other than to just remove it from pvp which i would honestly be super grateful for if they did.

At first, I didn't enjoy playing this game. I found the stealth really frusterating and the loud stuff even more frusterating. But the more I played the game the better I got and the more I started to understand the way that stealth works the more fun I started to have. I highly recommend this game and since it's on sale there is no reason to not pick it up and give it a try.

This is a game where I played for 100 hours and I am not even 25% done with the game. I can play this game forever and not get bored.

A funny game to play with friends and if you don't have friends you don't have to ruin any friendships just because they won't throw you the right way.

This is the best game if you have friends. If you don't, then you're screwed.
