For the newcomers i'll say this - only reason people remember God of War and not Darksiders is because Sony have better marketing department and more moneys to pump in it. Get this. Especially if it's on sale, it's a sin to ignore this masterpiece.

I've been looking for a reason to replay this game and discovering that not only owners of franchise pack, but also owners of OG darksiders 2+season pass+darksiders 1 can get this version for free, is one of the better reasons to do so. I had my fears, reading reviews abot the bugs and incopatibility issues, but i haven't experienced any of them myself, so that's a plus. For people like me there is a hidden perk in getting this version for free (look up the sticky post from nordic in the OG darksiders 2 hub and open the last page of comments for the link) or even buying it, since it's on a huge sale now - when you replay old games, you remember them looking crisp and vibrant, but they appear dated and low quality for today's standarts - not this time, tho. The artstyle alone could hold this game up for another 5 or so years, and upped render, shadow and texture resolution, as well as improved lightning adds this "crisp", you always have in your head, when you remember playing old (relatively, or absolutly old) classics.

Go to the menu, disable music, tune in to some oldschool techno (like Doom, SS2 or Teleglitch ost's) and you might have a very good time for an hour or two once in a week, just like in good'ol days. Assuming that you had those good'ol days and assuming that you wouldn't play it more than for 2 hours once in a week. Else - quite repetitive shooter with no real goal and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics. Oh well.

Solid shooting mechanics.
Interesting plot (Not BS:G killer, as many people that have no idea whet they're talking about tend to claim, but interesting nonetheless).
Decent location and character design.
Enemies and events tend to be somewhat repetitive after a while, but name a single MMO where this isn't the case.
Solid purchase, considering 66% off - a MUST!
Bare in mind, this game doesn't have a subscription fee.
