A very good game.
The ESL times were kinda cool and I miss them very much.
A clear purchase recommendation, but only if one wants to play with friends privately.

Let's not forget that they used their software to mine bitcoins without the consent of their subscribers. It fried a lot of GPUs, and they had no intention of sharing the money. This was only about 2.5 years ago.

Don't buy this game if you're planning on playing the built-it matchmaking.
If you are into surf, spent 1.4000h just surfing like me, you'll enjoy this game. At top speeds with 100% precision this game looks just stunning and sends you straight into trips.
ESEA (an external 3rd party provide for servers) makes this game pretty playable... but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the surfing. It's just insane at which speeds this game still feels extremely precise and beautiful.
Also, kids think you're a surf god if you're a semi-good surfer and have a WR on mesa 2k16
10/10 would play god again.
