Probably the most accessible roguelike. Lots of fun, some good mods.

Before Space Age I had 300 hours, it's now a couple of weeks since launch. I have 1170 hours, I've also moved house, have 2 kids oh.. and it's christmas.

Merry Christmas.

I absolutely love this game—like, I really do! It has an incredible element that many other games in the genre lack. This unique feature comes from the POI system. In typical randomly generated worlds, the places you explore can often feel bland and poorly designed. However, in 7DTD, the locations you encounter are like mini handcrafted dungeons that tell a story, making exploration so much more thrilling. This is definitely the standout feature that elevates this game above the usual survival titles.

I also appreciate the smooth progression through different biomes and the difficulty ranking system; they’re fantastic ideas that I really enjoy. The skill system is engaging, and I find the magazines to be a fun addition! While there’s some debate about how skills are acquired, and some players are not entirely satisfied, the game offers amazing mods! Many of the features that players feel are missing can be easily added back in through mods, giving us the best of both worlds.

There are plenty of other fantastic aspects of the game, but I believe the mod-ability and the POI system are the highlights. This game is definitely worth the investment; it’s a blast to play and has improved significantly since I first purchased it.
The steady progression through biomes and the difficulty ranking system are great ideas too, and I enjoy them a lot. The skill system is fun, magazines are also fun! There's a lot of contention about how skills are earned and a lot of people are unhappy with them, but this game also has amazing mods! Many of the features people miss are modded straight back in so really we get the best of both worlds.

There's lots of other great things about the game but I think the mod-ability and the POI system are the best aspects. This game is definitely worth the money, it's a lot of fun. Much better than when I originally bought it.

Pretty good so far, but still early days. Way more polished than the original beta. Brutally hard, I am yet to extract once. I am sure I will eventually, but I have enough fun trying to solo my way through trying out all the different classes.

Other players are well, other players. They'll probably kill you. Sometimes they don't. But they probably would if they could.

Despite the huge amount of decision paralysis and FOMO this game can cause. If you just, buckle down and trust the dice the game rewards you for even the failed rolls.

This game reminds me of the classic DND games but at the same time it's something brand new, so absolutely massive and interesting that I will probably play it twice, which is stupid rare for me.

I'd love to get the full 20 levels and user created content (like Neverwinter Nights) but honestly what is in-game is enough.

Sometimes you have no shucks, and can't be shucked. This game is perfect for those moments, great game for zoning out and ignoring your real responsibilities in life.

I liked:
Isometric action MMORPG
Sweet skills
Casual flow to end-game
Lots of class variety
A large emphasis on exploration, with islands being super fun.

I didn't like:
Daily tasks are pretty annoying.
My experience with guilds has been pretty bad, a 24hr/3day/8day lockout when leaving.
PVP onboarding is harsh!
No Oceanic server, as of yet.

For someone who loves ARPG's and has spent many, many hours in the Diablo series. I have to say that this game is excellent. Mechanically it is significantly better than Titan Quest it's spiritual successor. However when it comes to cool set pieces, at least in the base game, I feel like it's not quite on par. That's probably because the historical setting of Titan Quest was really awesome however, and not because Grim Dawn is bad! Infact it's quite the opposite!

Pro's:
- A lot of flexibility to work with your class, and the ability to make drastic changes with your build without sacrificing the replayablity that comes with full respec's. You can change your skill points invested at any stage, within the class tree's of which you can pick two. However you cannot change the class trees!

- Clever design, inventory sorting, auto filtering of loot allowing you to pay attention to the stuff that actually matters to you.

- Lots of customisability, heaps of enchants, augments, stats, lots that you can play with, and very little is set in stone.

Anyways, these are some of the things that matter to me.

Cons:
- Same as TQ, there's a lack of anti cheat and modders and item managers are standard. This means if you don't like people running around with perfect gear in your games, you gotta play with friends or just take the hit every now and then. Community is great however so that makes up for this a bit.

The new update has made this game far more accessible and more interesting for players of other ARPG's. If you are a fan of Diablo 3 definitely check out Marvel Heroes in 2017!
