The switch to 3d adds a lot more depth to the gameplay. The music is lovely, and though you're limited to only 4-player lobbies, it's still plenty of fun. The devs also promised that they will bring back artifacts and all the characters from the 1st game. They do have a good track record so expect great things ahead.

Her son had the "weak" trait and had a martial rating of 4 as an adult.
