Just kidding, this review was positive before but now it's negative, as it should have been from the start.
How shameless can a company be? Making part of the pseudo-PVE cost real life money? Not even launching the event missions all at once?
Seriously, whoever spends a single dime on this game is probably beyond redemption. Those that have an ounce of self-respect, either play FOR FREE, or don't play.

Don't take this as review bombing. I always had issues with the game. Its core mechanics, its complexity with keyboard and clunky joystick port, the repetitive story fights, among others.

But what I always really liked and appreciated about the game was its art style. The videos explaining how much detail and effort went into animations which were unbelievably good. How the team took risks with the advertising and how it paid off with a really loyal and happy fan-base.

And now? The trust is gone. One game after another with betrayal to their players and for what? Ultimately scraping the bottom of the barrel for a couple of bucks? Don't bother with this one folks, there are better passion projects for free; and this became just a cash grab.

C'mon, using 3 skeletons in a deck isn't gimmicky, it's called strategy!

The nostalgia is strong with this one.
And... it's actually a pretty good game too.

Eventhough this review is indeed for the badge, Warframe has progressed so much that I can't even recognize it from what it was years ago (in a good way that is).
If you haven't played it give it a go, it's still being updated and Digital Extremes listens to their players (well, most of the time, but better than some AAA companies).

Probably the best game of it's genre.

First of all, I got this game with a discount, but I don't think that matters, because full price or 90% OFF it's still not worth buying. I like the series and all, so you could say I'm not the only one that's dissapointed by how bad this game is for what I was expecting... The story is boring and the gameplay is quite dull, and if that wasn't enough, after buying the game you have to pay even more for all the characters (literally half are DLC).

If you're a huge fan you can go and buy it to support or show admiration, or whatever, but be warned.

First of all, the game was even cheaper that expected because I got the -90% discount, but even if you don't have a discount, you should give it a try ;)

PROS:
-Even thought it has 2 or 3 OSTs, they are pretty good and give the game the vibe it pretends to promote, the retro fashion.
-Cheap.
-If you have the skills, it can give you a good time, it doesn´t require much strategy but to never stop moving and shooting.
-Easy to understand, no complex controls, just WASD and Mouse and you'll be fine.
-Steam Trading Cards (many people will only buy it for these I'm sure).
-Has many more levels than you expect.

CONS:
-You can't change the difficulty, which makes this games a hell for casuals (you know, they say Cuphead is the Dark Souls of 2D shooters but... It has competence now).
-Actually I have no more cons, because adding more things like a story or better graphics might ruin the charm of the game, it's average not astounding so... Just buy it already.
