A game that has had an amazing comeback similar to No Man's Sky.

Everyone who has ever played video games has heard about Cyberpunk 2077. I remember the first trailers releasing in 2012, and the hype around the Dec. 2020 launch. While i do believe the game was hyped to such oblivion that it was impossible to please everyone, and despite my love for the game even on day one, Cyberpunk had a rough launch.

Now personally I only played it on PC, and did not run into many issues at all. Console players were not quite so fortunate. They even pulled this game from the PS store in the beginning because it was that unplayable for a time. Even on PC, so many QoL elements were missing from the game. CDPR, made famous for the renowned Witcher 3, dropped the ball with the Cyberpunk launch despite my intense enjoyment of it even during 1.0

When 2.0 dropped, it was as if the game completely transformed. CDPR realized their mistakes and now have made the game something else entirely, and all for the better. Cars have more variety now and are fun to drive, vendors no longer have randomized loot that would not belong in certain areas of the city (emphasis on clothing vendors) and by far the most important: combat has been completely overhauled. So many builds now have become very viable and fun with unlimited respeccing if you wanted to try something else.

Then there is also Phantom Liberty. This DLC was second only to W3's Blood and WIne. Without spoiling it, it is absolutely worth the 30 dollars for over 30 hours of content. CDPR slipped but not only regained their balance with 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, they have made massive momentum. Despite what you may have heard, this is not the Cyberpunk 2077 of 2020.

This game plus DLC at full price is worth it now, no question. If it is on sale, you would be foolish to not buy it. Try it, you won't regret it.

Now my review:

At this time, I have 304 hours into this game, but I played it religiously since launch so thousands of un-logged hours are included. This game has come a very long way since 1.0 and while I do not agree or enjoy every single feature, this game has become a really great and unique approach to an MMO.

I have played quite a few MMOs myself, but out of all of them, SWTOR is by far the most story and single player focused by far out of all of them. Now naturally some players are more critical of the single player focus that SWTOR encompasses now, but I believe it is very inviting and interesting for new players, and for those who want to play this game without having to endure the PVP and group filled activities like the older updates did. Unlike many games that emphasize story "choices" yet there is no true consequence to them, SWTOR certainly capitalizes on that for every class story and in the expansions. It will keep you busy but interested for countless hours.

I am only about 3 and a half hours into my first play through, and within the first hour, my main character had her eye crystallized, my mage had her leg sawed off and replaced with a peg leg, and my second swordsman turned into a demon.

A game with incredible story telling, meaningful decisions and even fun turn based combat when I typically am very uninterested in turn based combat. It is overwhelmingly positive for a reason, and any game with this kind of review has more than earned it. Full price is more than your money's worth, a sale would be stupid of you to pass up if you're into this kind of genre.

Just like real life, I forgot the thermal paste. The Verge taught me better than this.

Game is about 90% accurate with assembly of parts and such. You will be doing certain builds and look at the game barring you from installing certain parts with a raised eyebrow because you know you would definitely fit it in real life.

9/10 recommend
