I've only played this game for five hours, and I was really expecting to enjoy it, based off of what I've seen in the youtube videos. But the game is so horribly glitchy that it is simply not worth it's 18 dollar price tag. Mechanics wise sure, I can imagine 18 dollars being worth it, assuming the game wasn't so bug ridden.

The UI is the worst offender, a lot of it ends up bugging out half of the time (for example, in the creature list in Sandbox, I keep getting "1/0" page texts, completely empty pages, and pages that don't update the page count, etc)
And in the Clade graph/viewer there is literally always a completely empty page at the end and scrolling through that UI is horribly unintuitive. And sometimes the creatures would completely visually freeze and only start moving again when I hit the play button.
Some editors have a discard button while others don't, there's no way of deciding against placing a creature/plant/fungus/etc without entering its editor and hitting discard, sometimes just you clicking the discard button would cause the game to think you placed something down, hence causing it to clog certain UI menus with creations you never even placed down.

One time all the UI except for the pause menu just stopped working completely (the black background disappeared and my clicks went through the UI) and I had to reload in order to fix it.

The game has a timeskip feature which lets you skip forward in time, which is awesome, but also, since you for some reason can't jump instantly to a creature's information panel from clicking them, you have to go through the creature list and find it, and that is also assuming you CAN find it and it doesn't go extinct during that brief time between switching menus, AND assuming you have the patience to look through the list as there is no search function for who knows why.

The editor is one of the worst sporelike editors I've ever had to use, primarily because placing parts is extremely finnicky, sometimes I've gotten that subplacement menu to appear on a completely different part of the creature while the actual part is placed in a different spot, many times I was just completely unable to select the eyes without removing the mouth first. The terrain editor suffers from the same problem of not being able to click certain mountains because a much bigger land mass is in the way. Speaking of terrain, there are no presets so you have to just keep hitting randomize until you get an actually inhabitable world, or make one yourself from scratch which somes with its own problems when you just want to see things evolve. Speaking of evolution, it's unreasonably difficult to get anything to actually evolve onto land starting from the sea, even if you search for the best possible planet and already make creatures that are halfway there.

And, do yourself a favor and do not play the Scenario mode. Just. Do not play it. Trust me on this one, it only takes you getting distracted for about half a second for something to go extinct, and you not being able to progress anymore due to the absolutely horrible unlock system. Seriously it's clear that the scenarios were not made with it in mind and it was added later (Which, it was)

This game is good, eventually, at points. But it is not worth 18 dollars, not right now.

The game is fun, and enjoyable like it always has been. Tons of secrets to be found, and just lots of replay value all around. Get this, and then get Plus. You should get Plus. Get it NOW. NOW. BALDI BALDI BALDI BALDI BALDI BALDI BALDI BALDI BALDI BALDI BALDI

The game is weird, goofy, and fun. Like most Valve games. My only two issues are that like 2 models had missing texture reflections for whatever reason and the game crashed on me one time. Besides, that, its a short fun experience. I'll happily replay it once I get the steamdeck.

Its sad that this game flopped as much as it did, its really fun to play, it does crash sometimes but thats expected of a game this old.

DON'T GIVE THEM MONEY.

Me and some friends did some investigating and learned that this game is literally just a glorified web browser that brings you to a website you can access on anything. When I pointed this out I got banned instantly from their discord server. I didn't even post a link to the site and didn't violate any rules, I wasn't trying to "crack their game." They claim they aren't doing any of this for money but its so clear that they are, this is a blatent Among Us clone with bad tasks and poorly done networking.

Funny astronaut game. Funny moments. Get it. But do not play on public servers for the sake of your sanity. Play with your friends. It's better that way.

I was really excited to play this mod, I might get past where I currently am and change my mind on it. But for now, I would not recommend this mod.
The test chamber design is an actual mess. I've played through Portal 1 and Portal 2, so I'm used to thinking with portals, but these test chambers have barely any hints. I couldn't get past the second chamber without using what I believe was an unintended solution. But that is just it, you can't tell the difference between intended and unintended solutions.
The story is good as far as I can tell, too bad the low quality test design makes it near impossible for me to continue it.
I'm sorry, Mel, but I can't help but feel you can't live up to Chell.
I do not recommend this mod unless you want to feel frustrated at every other chamber.

I've had a blast playing this game, it's a roguelike game with intentionally bad graphics to make it feel like you are playing one of those classic edutainment games from the 90s. Baldi's friends can be utilized to aid in your escape or can get you caught. My favorite aspect of the game is the random levels. At the moment, they feel very similar, but as the game's development progresses I am sure that more features will be added to make each level feel unique! I would 100% recommend this game if you enjoy roguelikes, although this game is marketed as a horror game, at the time of this review, this game isn't all that scary and is a really enjoyable experience.

It is a good pack. With a few modifactions it would have been a amazing pack. Sadly there are no face portraits and no images for team blue aside from overworld. It may not have battler sprites but just use a plugin to use the overworld sprites instead. But due to the simplisity its easy to make edits to fix all the problems. All in all you get what you'd exepect.
Lacking, but good enough to fill most needs.
