I was planning on writing a lenghty review talking about how this collection improves over the previous one and how it's a pretty solid package despite its notable omissions, but then my internet went out.
Now I learned the hard way that this game asks you to be online in order to actually launch it, which in my opinion is completely unacceptable. Sadly I'm a *bit* past the refund window, so it's a bit too late for that for me.
Don't buy this.

While this is still a very good game, this port is borderline unplayable without modding. Wouldn't recommend unless you want to tinker with mods for a while.

this is the best classic sonic game and whoever tells you otherwise is a fraud and should not be trusted

just be sure to install the mod that restores the jp soundtrack vocals

Very fun fighting bullet-hell, with a very active community!

If you just want the 6 original NES Mega Men and you think this is worth the price, this is for you.
If you come here expecting anything else or anything extra, you'll just be dissapointed
The games play exactly as they did back in the NES, which is both a blessing and a curse. No changes have been made to any of them other than lag reduction, and the collection doesn't offer anything you can't get from any NES emulator released in the last 20 years. There are some nice screen filters, but those tend to look "off" if your screen isn't set to the resolution the game expects. The game's resolution can't be changed btw, it always uses your desktop's.
The only "new" things here are the galleries (which are mostly just translated from the PS1 remakes, and offer nothing game-wise) and the terrible Challenge Mode.
The Challenge Mode feels lazy and uninspired. From the lack of details such as the sound being "off" during deaths and transitions, to the weird challenge design and terrible savestate choice, they really offer nothing that you can't get by just playing the games, and in fact do a pretty good job of highlighting the original games' faults and issues.
Finally, for a rerelease of roughly 30-year-old games, this seems to have an awfully hard time running, often having "stutters" where the framerate drops heavily and the controls become unresponsive. The menu controls also cannot be rebinded, so if you play using WASD instead of the arrow keys then you better be ready for your control scheme every time you pause.
Overall a very unimpresive package. Only get this if you find it for dirt-cheap or if you **really** like Mega Man
