It's a pretty good horror adventure game, but it has some cons. First thing - the graphics, the real actors look out of place in this pixel world, like a person trapped in a computer game. Animations are not the best, after finishing a move, the character stands for a second, like an idiot. Adrienne (the main character) often does an animation that lasts 10 second, and it should have ben at most... 2 or 3. Sometimes the music is atmospheric, and other times, doesen't fit the game at all. That's all if it comes to cons, let's get to the pros. The story is really good, step by step you expierience the history of Zoltan Carnovasch, the famous magician and escape artist, beloved husband and father. But it has changed. His family and many wifes died in mysterious circumstances, and Carno was not the same man, that he was before. Then, there is our husband Donald, who seems to share Carno's fate. I will not spoil everything, but the story overall was really enjoyable, hovewer, not really something crazy original. The cinematics were better than the standard gameplay, i can even say that it looked good. Acting was awesome, but Donald (Adrienne's husband) was rather funny than scary, at the end of the game. The puzzles were fantastic, logical and not to easy, and if you ever get lost... there's a magical skull in your HUD that will give you some hints. Biggest pros of this game is probbaly it's atmosphere, amazing and unice, so dense that you can cut it with a knife. The last chapter was pretty intense and even scary, another good thing about Phantasmagoria. Overall, if you are not scared of out of place graphics and clunky animations, and you like atmospheric, horror adventure games with good story - you have come to the right place.

This game was an amazing journey. You start with choosing one of the five characters: Nimdok, Ellen, Benny, Gorrister and Ted. One = one chapter. And i can tell you... each of them is really unique, sometimes you visit a gothic castle only to find yourself in a piramid mixed with cybernetics later on. I really enjoyed every chapter, but Gorrister's was my favorite one, beautiful soundtrack and multiple choices that you can made, something marvelous. It seems that most of the developers work was put into this chapter. Graphics are... something that you can expect from a game that was made in 1996, but they look really nice even today. Yeah... textures are a bit blurry, but that's not a problem!
Let's say it again - it was an amazing journey and i regret not playing it earlier, i really recommend this game to everyone! At the beggining the controls can be a bit awkward, but you can get used to it. It's the only con of this game, everything else is just perfect!

Fenomenalne doświadczenie. Nie jest to jednak horror dla wszystkich, znacznie różni się od wielu przedstawicieli tego gatunku.
Przede wszystkim nie próbuje nas wystraszyć wyskakującymi potworami, poczuciem zagrożenia, bezbronnością, czy samym istnieniem przeciwników.
Town of Light straszy ludźmi. Tego, do czego byli zdolni i jak kiedyś traktowano chorych. I robi to znakomicie. Działa na wyobraźnię.
Jest to gra wolna, przypominająca bardziej interaktywne doświadczenie. Czy to źle? Jeśli nie przeszkadza ci powolny styl tej produkcji, zależy ci na znakomitej fabule i klimacie... to jest to coś dla ciebie. A nawet jeżeli odpowiedziałeś/odpowiedziałaś na jedno z tych pytań przecząco... to i tak warto dać Town of Light szansę.

Fenomenalny horror w klimatach Alicji w Krainie Czarów. Znakomita fabuła, postacie, przełączanie się miedzy światami. I cudowne zagadki! Przede wszystkim podobał mi się fakt, że każdy rozdział miał swój unikalny klimat. Szczególnie do gustu przypadła Ithersta, na każdym kroku czuć było magię. A muzyka... coś pięknego.
Pozycja obowiązkowa zarówno dla fanów horrorów, jak i przygodówek.

Świetna modyfikacja, która stoi na poziomie Czarnej Plagi i Przebudzenia.
Grafika, różnorodność przeciwników, fabuła, świetna muzyka, klimat, czy chociażby lokacje widziane w grze, to tylko część zalet Penumbra: Necrologue. O wiele lepsze zakończenie historii, niż dosyć średnie Requiem.
Gorąco polecam ją wszystkim fanom tej serii, po prostu warto.
