Shadow of the Erdtree proves yet again that FromSoft delivers incredible DLCs for their games. 30-40 hours of fresh Elden Ring experience in a new world just as captivating as in the base game. The variety of art styles and color palettes gives each area a distinct character and makes exploration exciting. On top of that, the OST for this DLC is, in my opinion, a step above the base game, rivaling that of Dark Souls 3 or Bloodborne. Can't wait for it to release on Spotify.

Yes, this DLC is much more difficult than the base game, but having played through it a few times, the bosses are not unfair. You can still succeed without an optimized build -- just as was the case with the original Elden Ring, the game provides a plethora of tools for making fights easier. No boss in this DLC took me nearly as long to defeat as Malenia did, and there exist plenty of easy strategies for dealing with her nowadays. I think that a lot of the complaints about the difficulty of this expansion will fade away with time as people learn and experiment more, just like with Malenia. Many of the bosses are very fun to parry for people who enjoy that play style as well.

There were a few performance issues I encountered, mostly being framerate drops, but nothing that significantly impacted the experience.

As always, the characters are phenomenal. "CURSE YOU BAYLE" and "THE DEPTHS OF YOUR FOOLISHNESS" will now live rent-free in my head forever.

Definitely worth the money for the amazing experience if you enjoyed the base game.

This game is the definition of a good time. Humor mixed with strategy along with lots of hidden lore to explore for those who are interested makes for plenty of ways to play this game, be it strategically finding your way through all the levels or simply messing around with different ways to get yourself killed.

Awesome tower defense game with great replayability. You can play this game for hours on end without getting bored, and once you know the best strategies you don't even have to pay attention to win.

Overall a very great game.
