Homeworld is THE best RTS game i ever played. Here are some thoughts on the Remastered edition.
HM1 is now a HM2 mod. All the options you had in the original are gone. You can't keep your shops docked, formations/tactics are now just to look nice before the fight. You could say this was streamlined, but for me it feels like a little bit is missing. Also, in the campaing i fell like some bits are missing, Mothership not saying everything in the original, but this might be just me.
There seem to be some game breaking bugs in the campaing, best i can describe it is ... if i do something before the game tells, is never tells me and i have to reload for it to start. Happend e few times, i hope this gets patched.
Haven't tried HM2 remstered yet.

All in all i'm having fun with the port, it really looks and feels like a 2015 game, even though HM1 was strealined. I would buy this just to make sure it has success so it can be a benchmark for future remakes.

Good survival mechanics, nice implementation.
Though as i see it there is no way for self sustaining so you will eventually die.

All in all a good game, hope more content is added by the time it's launched.
