Normally, I don't write reviews for games, but I'll make an exception just this once.

I have spent 750 hours on this game which has equated to 1 year of playtime. I won't deny and say that this game for the past year has not only given me so many new friends, but it's given me an avenue to relax whenever life is a little too much sometimes. I initially went into this game thinking that I wouldn't spend more than a day on it. And, well, that clearly wasn't the case because the people I met and am able to meet are what have kept me coming back. For all of that, I recommend VRChat.
However, I'm not going to let my relatively positive history with the game be the judge for what I think about the EAC update.

Yes, the EAC update is atrocious and not only hurts pretty much a large amount of the community, but it also hurts the accessibility options that users require. I'm of the belief that no matter what game it is, mods are a necessity because they are made to improve or enhance the experience. An additional reason that people make mods is because they care a lot about the game they want to mod. So this update is just slapping these people in question in the face. There are plenty of other reasons as to why this update will hurt the game, but other people have said it better.

So for now, I strongly do not recommend VRChat because I know a lot of friends who use mods regularly will be hurt this by EAC and it just seems like a backwards way of "improving the game." And as a regular VRChat user myself, it's really disappointing to see stuff like this.
