Aaaaaaaah yes, Persona 4.

The only game ever released where I sit, entranced as the intro music plays to completion. When watching Netflix, I have my index finger drawn; ready to bash the left click as soon as I can to skip the intro. Persona 4's intro will fill you with a childlike giddiness that is overpowering. Equally as powerful as hearing uncle Iroh threaten to boil a pot of tea.

Persona 4 is an excellent JRPG, a wonderful slice of life, and a masterpiece of artistic endeavor. You will get attached to every character as the story beats hug you tight for every gut punch of heartfelt wholesomeness.

This game can get you through depression, divorce, and even grief.
A game that teaches you how important friendships are to life. And how little time you really have to strengthen those bonds.

The soundtrack sets the tone perfectly, and the combat options allow for in-depth analysis, or casual story focused fun.
The story is interesting enough to reel you in, just before the characters slap you flat on the stern and cut you wide open to expose your heart, as you flounder helplessly.

I don't give ratings, as games are very hard to rate numerically. How do you compare this game to Final Fantasy XII, or Fallout 3? All I can say is, this game is 100% worth a playthrough for anyone who likes anime, and especially anyone who likes wholesome, eyebleach style content. Did you enjoy Lilo & Stitch? Well bring dat ass here boy.

This game is the game I will be playing on my deathbed.

Quite frankly the most underrated video game ever developed. I first entered the zone amidst Obama's first campaign for emperor of planet earth back in the late 2000s. My first playthrough took me a little over 60 hours. This was during a time when steam would only log playtime for up to two weeks, than poof.

I remember absolutely loving the game upon its release. I even played a little multiplayer for a while when it was populated. The multiplayer was jank as hell, and everyone had terrible ping. Pretty sure I hovered in the 300s. Nobody cared, we loved being in the zone.

Garbage, Bar, Wild Territory, on and on. This game is more about the characters then the quests, and the characters are mostly silent. Its about exploring new and interesting locations that are sometimes creepy, but always atmospheric. It is a game that compels you to become immersed in it. To a degree which few other games can even dream of achieving.

This game right here? This is the rose that grew from concrete. Upon re-installation of the game with the addition of Autumn Aurora 2, I basically became the zone. Putting down bandits like old yellar, I sought after Strelok, stalking him as if I could predict his every move. I penetrated the most savage of irradiated lands ducking under anomalies that could shatter shins in an instant, just to recover another marvelous meat chunk.

Upon exiting the lab in Yantar, with rain pitter-pattering down on my computer screen as I gazed off into the clouds, I realized this was life. Hunched over my computer desk, headphones up to my neck and surrounded in complete darkness, I was home.

I knew now that I could never return to an existence outside of the zone.

Whether you like sausage or canned tuna, you will enjoy this game. Just embrace the archaic user interface and I'm confident you will manage.

A very rewarding game that punishes you for every mistake. When you finally conquer it, you will probably start a new character immediately.

Fallout New Vegas is by far my favorite Fallout game. I've finished the game 3 times and have completed all of the DLC with the exception of Old World Blues. Whenever I remember that first moment when you come across Caesar's Legion I know that I've just got to do another playthrough.

What makes this Fallout so much more special than the others in my opinion are the unique quests and the excellent characters that inhabit those quests. Obsidian really took the time to breathe life into these characters, and make them feel as though they truly belong to the Mojave. That goes for everyone including the character's companions, each of which have a unique quest which can be completed in order to learn more about their backstories.

Obsidian seems to be one of the few developers capable of writing dialogue branches that convincingly showcase your character's personality and morality that you have decided upon. You really get the feeling that you have a wide array of possibilities for your character at your disposal. This is amplified further via the quest lines presented by the different factions.

I doubt another RPG world will ever hold my interest for as long as the Mojave.

Borderlands 2 improves on the original in many, many ways. More varied weaponry, new locations that don't all look the same, and tons of new skills to try out with the new characters. Unfortunately there are still some bugs I found in my experience so far but nothing game altering, just weird glitches. Although there are a lot of different guns, all of the gun manufacturers in the game add the same effect to their guns. Certain brands have special reload animations and some have actual gameplay effecting mechanics. I just wish they were more varied since there aren't a ton of different gun manufacterers in the game. All in all, a very addicting and fun experience. I will lose hundreds of hours to this game.
