** EARLY ACCESS MEANS RESULTS MAY VARY**

In 3 days we've had two Hotfixes. Its important to know - and yes beating a dead horse - this is Early Access. That doesnt excuse problems - just should lower your expectations slightly.

Day 1 my experience - Stutter fest, CTD, 35-40fps on LOW (RTX3080, 1440P)
Day 2 After Hotfix - No stutter, smooth 100+ FPS, No Crashes

Main issue atm for ME is when I join friends or they join me - constantly getting NETWORK Errors. Im confident this will be fixed soon. I can play solo no prob, and when I can squad up, again no issues.

Also a Squadmate has no head and he lost his gamma container(or whatever its called) - Supposingly HOTFIX #2 Resolves this. We shall see

Overall Enjoying what Im playing and will update this review again in the near future.

Also - as everyone keeps saying - I have about 500hrs in Tarkov w/EOD edition, and this last 7 days has been a trainwreck of PR Nightmare / Pay2Win horror show. Not sure where thats gonna go but take it for what its worth as GZW is NOT Tarkov - though it shares a similar space

Game is very early access. Lots of things Id update or change - UI, menus, controls, etc - But this will come in time. Its been only out a couple days and already getting improvement patches.

The big thing Id recommend getting out there to help sell more copies - Dedicated Servers! - As of now, to my knowledge, I CAN play with friends. But its their savefile - so cannot play on same game when offline.

If I were to compare the game, Id say Project Zomboid(LITE) Meets Scum/Dayz. There is a bunch of server options - so if you are reading reviews saying there isnt enough loot - this can be adjusted, etc. You can hunt, fish, cook, basebuild, craft, etc.

As of now, lets see how she goes - I do recommend, specially at this price (I bought it from Fanactical for $17cad)

Tarkov-Lite? Tarkov In Space?

Really enjoying this so far. Will update as I progress. Imagine if you were Tarkov and you had a little brother, that was faster then you and stronger then you. Something like that - Game Feels more streamlined.

Experience so far - Matches entered quickly. Everything is simplistic enough to figure it out easy. Adds the whole breaching game concept -- which basically gives you an option to enter anothers ship - on the way to a raid - and either kill and take their gear or even their ship. Loads of fun.

As of this writing - some issues with grouping up. Should be fixed soon.

For $30 bucks -- hard to hate on it.

Will be streaming more of the game in the near future.

DLC #3 - A Must buy - Alot of work clearly went into this piece. Tons of voicelines, likeness is uncanny. When you play you feel like a badass.

I hear folks arguing this is Pay2Win. -- Dude if this helps you 'win' at this game - go for it! -- Its not pay2win. Is there a very tiny 'edge' - Yes. You character will spawn from the sky without Orange. But the 'more storage' is all relative. As you do get more slots in the south. In the North you do not. And YES Dany does get cold.

Also to note - Unsure if bug or by design - the Macette does NOT act as a knife for crafting recipes. Which means if you spawn you immediately cannot make a backpack from your clothes. You need to craft a stone knife.

To support the devs - if these make money -- Id love to see some more - like Katniss Everdeen. (But would prefer to add in more options for character customization first (or soon))

EDIT: Machette not acting like a knife was a bug. You can use it to craft the same as stone knife

Originally played this on Gamecube but for whatever reason - just couldn't get through it. 11 hours as of this writing - I'm pretty sure Im almost through. Enjoying the ride - old school saves and alot of backtracking but it isnt so bad. Definitely recommend picking this up and the Original in the doublepack at the next sale!

Really addicting game. Great to play while working from home.

Ive played many survival games - Rust, DayZ, Miscreated, to name a few. I really enjoy SCUM. I bought this day 1 - originally I regretted it as early on it was wiped often and I felt I was just wasting my time. (Yes I know its to be expected with early access). However they keep updating it and I keep coming back. Hats off to Devs on this one. Here's hoping it continues to get better and better!

PS I want fishing!

Every game I play is different. Started off - Infantry - clam before the storm - all quite - waiting in the fog .. all of a sudden squad mate - who is hiding beside a rusted out Panzer yells - "Sh*t, tank!BOOOM" - he didn't get to finish his warning as pieces of his torso fly into the air - lead now flying past my head. The battle begins!

Another match - Squad lead constantly in our ear - directing where to go - holding the line, advancing, retreating - all while we are firing - never knowing for sure if we are killing the enemy - no hit markers, or kill count (there is one just not an easy look) - this game is NOT about how many kills you get - its about working as a team and winning

3rd Match - SL does not have a mic - switches to another squad - same thing - real crappy round.

4th match - play as a 2 man recon/sniper squad. Have so much run spotting for my sniper & communicating enemy positions to commander and other SL'ers.

5th match - no mics = crappy

6th match - spawn as armor group - everyone has mics - slowly roll across the battlefield - supporting infantry taking out tanks etc - Friendly using proximity chat as we are advancing across a field - "Hey you mind if we use your armor as a moving foxhole for cover? " which we did -giving them cover the whole time & them repaying us by taking out any anti-tank. At another point, helped take out a panther but lost my tracks - needed engineer but none around to repair - another friendly tank rolls up with empty seat along I go - helped players & another awesome round/win.

7th match - spawn again as same armor group - tougher woods/terrain - this time I play as observer (Tank has a Driver, Gunner & Observer) - spotting armor - never firing a shot myself but being apart of our 3 man crew (plus 2 other tanks in our line) - taking out tons & leading to victory

This game has sooo much potential. So many classes & ways to play. But be aware - your experience will vary - especially if people playing this with you doesn't have a mic. - Who plays PC games, specially a niche game such as this, in 2019 without a microphone?

tldr; WW2 game, realistic, heavy team based - to win & have most fun, please use your mic! Enjoy!
