Other reviews have done way more effort in explaining the issues with this game in detail, but in short, and in my own words, War Thunder is an amazing game, but that greatness is completely and utterly negated by a greedy company's horrendous mismanagement in continually escalating attempts to siphon money and time away from its loving fans. I hate to give this game a negative after so many years and so many hours played, but it's the sad truth, and I'm afraid that even the ongoing backlash may still never be enough to bring this game back to its former glory from years ago.

EDIT 1: Gaijin has issued an apology to the player base for their actions in worsening the already bad economy of War Thunder, and they have expressed their new focus on improving the problems that players have expressed now and over the years they have ignored them. This is a step in the right direction, but I won't be holding my breath. For me personally, I will need to see MASSIVE improvements over the next 6 months, and 6-12 months from then, I'll need to see that those changes have not been reverted in any way and that more improvements will have been implemented since.

So, it took a complete uprising for Gaijin to finally make any serious effort into improving the economy amongst other long overdue changes, but the changes are being made. More must be done and for a long time before they build up the trust of the playerbase again. That being said, I'm looking forward to seeing how things will continue to improve for the future.
