Game play as good as it was in alphas. The game has been polished with almost every update and is in a grand state. There are some questionable decisions I feel like the removal of glass jars, to make water harder. But nonetheless this is a classic good friend experience.

A very good game, I think worthy of several steam awards

I enjoy this game, but it isn't without significant flaws. As a linux user I am able to run the game. There is a linux port, not listed on the store page, but I recommend against using it, instead use proton for better performance, according to protondb.

Generally, the game was very tempremental about full screen and the mouse pointer didn't work in menus well, until I found a workaround in KDE (linux problem I presume). After this fix, tabbing in and out sometimes didn't work correctly. I had a couple of crashes which were annoying, and NPCs constantly bugged out. Sometimes they would sit in bad places, sometimes they would teleport, which has been widely documented.

The story is pretty good I think, though it feels with side quests that it drags, common for open world quest based games. It felt at times a bit like an open world bioshock, with how controls feel mainly. And some of the jokes were just great.

MINOR SPOILER: The game tells the story from the perspective of three characters trying to escape the world, you play as arthur, who meets both ollie and sally, and interacts with them. Later you play sally, who interacts with arthur, and follows some of the same plots from her perspective, then ollie. All have their own secrets they need to discover.

The world is dystopian britain, had WW2 ended differently. Everyone is on a publically distributed drug, with very string rules on social conformity. It represents stereotypical british attitudes.

TL;DR:
I enjoyed it a lot, it's world was decent, and I enjoyed the story. Very buggy for me, and maybe a bit too long with side quests and exploring, which doesn't matter.

This is quite a fun game. It does sometimes feel grindy, but it fills the hole in my heart when I tried Skyrim city building mods. It is a game that feels like a cross of Medieval Engineers (RIP) and Kingdom Come: Deliverance. You design, build and work for your village, assigning villagers to jobs to help automate the process, such as hunting, farming, getting water and getting logs. You have to do a lot of work at the start. I am right now enjoying this game a lot, and am looking forward to playing throughout my work days, and while playing games with friends. It's safe to say I'm addicted right now.

Linux Users:
To run you need to use proton 4.11-13. When running on 6.3-8 it gets locked up at the startup logos. With 4.11-13 it won't properly install and you will be missing the Visual C++ 2019 runtime libraries. You can easily get this by running the first time with protontricks. "protontricks --force vcrun2019". This is only needed once, and will install the library. I didn't have proton tricks before, but it is on the AUR for Arch Linux users.

Great games this pack that my family and friends enjoy. Not the classic you see on streams, but all amazing.

This was my favourite game back in the day when Introversion was running the show. Every update was great. When I go back to the game now, I see an unrecognisable game. New objects tacked on top, new mechanics I don't understand, and DLC. The game under introversion was good, it only got a bit stale after so long. I don't ever want to play it now. There is a way through steam to downgrade the version using the console, if you know the branch and commit IDs.

To add insult to injury, they added new wardens. Originally introversion added 5 wardens to the game as an exclusive tier and perk during their alpha funding campaign. This in my eyes spits in the face of the fans.

I have nothing against paradox outside of PA. Their other games are good.

Early Access Review
I preface this by saying I liked the game and concept. It reminds me of games I played when I was young.

The game is in fairly early alpha right now, by a single developer. It is quite buggy, for example, you can't unpause using the GUI speed buttons, but you can with the number keys 1-3. Also, for some reason NPCs spawn and get stuck after playing a game for quite a while. It's an alpha so you know...There are also several features not yet implemented. This includes the inability to auto repair broken coffee machines and auto service them, even though the check boxes exist. Some work is needed, as an example office staff never have energy, and even decrease in energy when they have nothing todo (0 work on research and 0 on management tasks, totalling 0% workload).

I cannot rightfully recommend a game that is in the current state this many years into development. They claim it isn't their focus right now, but the game still costs more than 10 pounds (5 for me due to a sale). Really wish the developer luck, and hope the game has some actual turnaround. There is potential, but early access games don't always reach potential.

Pretty chill game with a simple and nice story. The story makes you want to keep playing to get to know the characters. It can feel very short, because the writing is good I wanted more of the characters. Good game I think, though not something I would have ordinarily gone for.

Really fun game. Story wise rather generic mobster like in movies, but still good. The story missions are like LA Noire's, where each level is its own open world with objectives. Feels a lot like LA Noire too, but with a lot more shooting.

Pretty good game with a lot of attention to detail. I can't help but compare it to Boneworks though, which I felt had better mechanics. The story though is more direct and I believe better. Its a half-life game, and I had given up on there ever being a continuation. If you are reading the reviews though, just buy the game (Assuming you have a HMD).

Received it free with my index.
