Just as good as the first one. Maybe even better – on a technical level that is.

SLUDGE LIFE is one of my favorite games of all time. Obviously, the gameplay isn't anything too crazy, but what makes this game so special is its art style, humor, and overall grungy vibe. This game is made by people who love hip-hop, street art, and weird sh*t for people who love the same things. Overall, SLUDGE LIFE is simply an oversimulation of cool stuff.
Unfortunately, I had to turn off the VHS filter because it gave me migraines. But! you can pet dogs – so it evens out.

Most unique part of this game is of course the art style which reminds me of old German educational CD-ROM games. Game is cozy and full of charme - also pretty short, which I think is a good thing, as the creative direction doesn't overstay its' welcome.

The game focuses the topic of time. The game was short, but I loved every minute of it.

Unfortunately, Steam forces me to rate this game good or bad (or rather do I recommend it or not). I can't really tell, to be frank with you, dear reader.

The Turing Test often gets compared to Portal. Obviously I see the parallels (you're accompanied by the voice of an AI, you puzzle your way through tests to get to the exit door), but I don't think it's really fair to compare these games to each other. Not to mention the size different of the teams working on each, but the overall story and setting of the games. The Turing Tests explains to you who you are and what you are doing. You are equipped with a small gun shaped tool that can move energy balls around to power doors, buttons and some other things. Sometimes, the game plays around with mechanics such as remote controlled robots and huge magnets. You also get optional puzzles which dig deeper into the story of the game.

To me this game was really mediocre. Most puzzles were either very easy or medium difficult. Only the last few tests actually got me scrachting my head, which is a shame, but it's something many before me have complained about. (Though I have to admit that the optional puzzles are very hard, so that's nice.)

So as I'm writing this I more and more see how the words to describe this game are just missing. It was so... meh to me. I really liked the ending but everything else was meh. The game can be really soulless with the same soundtrack playing over and over again and the posh design of the tests.

So would I recommend it? No, not really. Maybe get it in a sale and see for yourself. Maybe my opinion will change over time until now it's just a very mediocre game to me.
