I discovered this game just a day before its release when a friend asked me if I knew about it. I bought it without knowing anything about Journey to the West, the mythology, or the game itself.

It turned out to be one of the best gaming decisions I've made this year. The game, the boss fights, the stunning cinematics, and the lore are all major reasons why I'm so entertained and invested. I'm currently in Chapter 3, and while the world isn't open-world, I'm still enjoying the exploration. In fact, a map would be helpful in some areas. The game's world has intrigued me so much that I've been spending more time looking up videos and articles to learn about its lore.

Feels a bit more challenging than the base game. (still didn't get to "Into the abyss" which should be significantly harder)
