Ok so I’ve been playing a lot of replanted to the point I completed the adventure and tbh I haven’t encountered any bugs so far.
Yeah the lack of dynamic music is a real downer but the devs confirmed that they'll fix that in the first patch. The colors and HD "graphics" are really nice and it feels super clean to play the game. The speed mode is a nice quality of life addition that I very much appreciate.
I have not tried RIP mode an cloudy days yet but it's nice to have at least some new content for 20 dollars.

Do I recommend getting the game full price? Mmmmmaybe, it depends on how much of a pvz fan you are.

The problems this game had are NOTHING compared with what BHVR has been doing with dbd year after year after year. Maybe VHS wasn't the dbd killer, yeah, but damn this game was soooo good and it is so sad to see it in it's current state.

TLDR:
If you are a DBD player and you are familiarized with it's lore then I 100% recommend this game, if not, yikes. Also the game has performance issues but it is playable.

The Casting Of Frank Stone™ is a game 100% oriented to the lore of Dead By Daylight and it's universe, so for that reason if you are not that much into dbd maybe your best choice should be getting the game in a discount or not buy it at all. In the other hand, if you really are into dbd then yeah, I can recommend this game.

Like almost every other review states, this game has very big performance issues (JULY 26th 2025 EDIT: I have not played the game since it's launch and I don't know if the game still has performance issues) and in some cases it is very difficult to get throught the in-game skill checks, but still I don't think it's such a big deal. Besides that, this is an enjoyable game with a decent enough story and likeable characters. You can complete your first playthrough within 6-7 hours, but if you are an achievement hunter you will enjoy (not really) finding the different paths that the story has to offer.

SPOILERS:
The first trailer of The Casting Of Frank Stone™ had very nostalgic yet retro vibes of a single player-slasher like videogame, but the game ended up being something about a million timelines and the explanation and representation of how characters join the Entity's realm. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, Frank Stone, the character that has his name on the game title, dies within 15 minutes of the playthrough.
