Tekken is a game with a lot of potential but has a balancing team filled with people who don't play their own game enough. As it stands right now I cannot recommend this series to newer players who genuinely want to get good at the game because as it stands, the game is a coinflip simulator.

Most ranked experiences require technical skill or understanding to be solid. This game does not, you just need a character that will carry you with cheap ♥♥♥♥. I'm sure the game will improve with time but as it stands at the present moment I refuse to recommend it.

Trouble with the trolley aye?

Typical survival horror game, you got a mission, theres a monster, you gotta figure out how to do your mission all while this dude is on your ass.

This game made me ♥♥♥♥ myself so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times, you never know when the Alien is going to decide to drop down and start looking for you unless you start sprinting because then he will drop down because he can hear you

Story is good and interesting and overall a very respectable length. Graphics aren't absolutely out of this world but for the quality of everything else I couldnt give a ♥♥♥♥, the game is great. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and provide a very satisfying experience to those looking for a scary experience.

Just don't be a ♥♥♥♥♥, play it on hard kek, and don't waste your flamethrower fuel, trust me

I would just like to say before I put my review up for this, the game itself in terms of the concept, the gameplay at face value and time you can spend on it is great, always a thrilling experience and the constantly increasing roster for variety is nice. However...

List of things that suck:

* The Devs
* The Servers
* The Community
* High Ranks
* Matchmaking
* Teammates
* Overpowered items that are quote unquote "rare"
* Killer has too much power to be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to 1 survivor at the cost of winning the match
* Developers think that toxic behaviour for no reason is a "legitimate strategy"
* Lag benefits killers greatly over the survivors which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
* If the killer ragequits, you get pretty much ♥♥♥♥ all as a survivor
* If a survivor rage quits, well, killer gets points, other survivors NOW get some points but that was only as of yesterday but survivors get no compensation for a dc
* Punishment for playing like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is non existent

The game has great potential and is fun if youre playing with friends and can be fun if youre lucky enough to have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in your lobby, but its a rarity these days, theres always something to ruin your match 99% of the time. Devs need to pull their thumbs out of their asses and stop sucking the ♥♥♥♥♥ of killers and start nerfing broken ♥♥♥♥ and punishing toxic behaviour properly before this game will start to really do its best

As for the game ignoring all these factors and in simplest terms, either you kill and they survive, or you survive and they kill. You and your "big brain" team mates have to power 5 generators and get the ♥♥♥♥ out, killer has to slam each of you on a hook and try and sacrifice you. If you get found its your job to stay up as long as possible while using the least amount of resources as possible on the map in order to stall for enough time so that as many of you as possible can escape. If possible you should try and evade the killer, but good killers rarely lose survivors and will rather just give up the chase if they feel that it will take too long to down you and it would be more efficient to focus on generator patrol at that time.

Be smart, don't be a ♥♥♥♥, and don't be toxic for no reason.

Unless theyre a Nea, if you see a Nea as a killer feel free to be a ♥♥♥♥ :P

Best fighting game available atm, high learning curve but definately the hypest, if you can try and find local offline scenes to dabble in the community its an amazing experience, I play at my offline scene 2-4 times a week and I always have a great time. Do remember, online Tekken is different from offline Tekken, its easier to play offline than online but its also harder in some ways due to everything being more reactable offline.

If youre unsure about whether this game is exciting or not, look up Lil Majin vs JDCR on youtube, legit, an amazing match. If that doesn't get you hype then maybe this game is not for you. Spend alot of time in practice mode, learn your character, be creative, and for the love of god, block those snake edges.

Optimisation is garbage, cutscenes are at 60fps but a soon as you get in game even if you drop the graphics you wont get over 30fps, you'll be lucky to even HIT 30 fps

Game ends up being choppy as ♥♥♥♥ and there is no setting you can change to improve it

For the record I'm not running the best PC of 2019, but I know damn well that I can EASILY run something of this graphical quality at over 45fps on max settings easily, on low it wont even break 30, somethings ♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the game so don't buy it until they fix it, and wait until it goes on sale, also, the achievements spoil the story somewhat so don't look at them

Ive spent enough time in game to identify everything relevant about the gameplay and Im a huge fan of the series as a whole, to start with, yes this is more difficult than the previous entries and yes you aren't a god in this one and enemies are an actual threat, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy this game, Ill keep this simple with a pros and cons list

Pros:

* Good Story with unexpected plot twists, I was even surprised at one particular moment
* Awesome boss fights
* High quality voice acting
* 4th wall break jokes (Always a positive with me)
* Less complicated than 2 in terms of gear (Also a con)
* Combat is fun as long as you have the stats (If you dont you have to play very defensively but eh, git gud imo)
* Lots of exploration to be done, the world seamlessly connects and to the point where youll rarely hit a dead end
* Lots of backtracking potential for extra loot for loot w*ores (also a con)
* Weapon Diversity is good but not amazing like a DmC game
* Traversal is satisfying and fluent
* Puzzles are good, although easier than 1 and 2 some still took me a moment to figure out (Looking at you tornado)
* Art style looks sick
* Watcher is savage af

Cons: (Some Spoilers)

* NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HORSE (Like seriously why the ♥♥♥♥ do we not have a horse in this one, she dies like an hour in)
* Frame drops which are consistent across both consoles and on pc's that are above required specs, happens in particular areas and WILL get you killed against the wrong enemy
* Difficulty can be daunting for casuals
* Story while good has some issues but can be overlooked a little, they needed a little more time and just a smidge more budget
* BUTTON QUEUING, SERIOUSLY I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, if you dont know what button queuing is, google it, its why most scrubs suck at dark souls
* Less build diversity, no skill tree means the build comes down to just where you invest your stats, sure theres some variety and it DOES affect how well you can deal with different enemies as well as alter your play style but come on, having 2 very different skill trees for builds was great in DS2
* Some enemies are way more infuriating than others, some enemies delay their attacks waaaay too much and their range is insane
* And my biggest problem with the game... is there is NO. NEW. GAME. PLUS! (Apparently this will be added in along with potentially other settings and difficulties, I am ok with this, as long as it gets done soon)
* If this is your first darksiders you are going to be a little lost in terms of the story, play 1 and 2, I rate them both 9/10
* Gear is simplified so even less diversity, (also a pro for casuals) but this was part of the appeal of darksiders 2, more customisability is always good

Overall, its a very solid game, yes it can be frustrating at times but thats what happens with any game that isnt a walk in the park. But if I can do an apocalyptic run with no health investment, you can enjoy this game on the ordinary difficulties with a more balanced build.

If they implement NG+ and fix the frame drops and REVIVED YOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HORSE I could definately raise the score on this for each point but for now I give it a solid 7/10 definately worth it on sale at the very least, also please buy it so they make a 4th one for strife, this series is very dear to my heart.

Recommended Build for players who cant be bothered doing research:

Health: 15-20

Strength: 10

Arcane: Every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point you got left

Also dont use your luminous visages until late game so that you save the most amount of souls for levelling up

Played this game for an hour and while I don't have a full grasp of all the mechanics there is one thing about this game that is unacceptable, the hit registration is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke, you can shoot someone in the head and the body twice while they are sitting still, with an accurate sniper rifle, and they still wont die, but somehow they can one shot you across the map with an m16 at full health and a helmet. Save your money, at least until they fix their ♥♥♥♥.

Also, if you dont parachute in the right place and you're unable to get a vehicle, you'll die just because the play area shrinks faster than you can run, or you'll spend the entire match trying to outrun the shrinking play area

Even without the DLC this game has hundreds of hours of gameplay if you're the sort of person that likes to replay games in a different way, I've invested over 500 hours in this game and made 7 characters to soul level 150 and Im still not done.

The gameplay is fluent, the graphics are amazing, the controls are... good... if you have a controller, for the love of god make sure you play with a controller. The bosses are well designed and do the franchise's reputation for difficulty justice but with experience it will become easy EVENTUALLY. I can kill every boss in my sleep at this point except for 2.

There are 2 things I hate about this game, 1 can be dealt with, the other can be solved with a little research. Firstly is the button queuing system, if you get hit when you try to roll but the roll doesnt go through, your character will roll on its own at the next possible moment, which will usually result in you rolling into another attack and dying... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pontiff.

The other is that it isnt always clear where you have to go but like I said, if you dont know where to go just give it a quick google and you'll be on your way.

All in all without spoiling too much its a great game and if you do get it I'd highly recommend getting the DLC, it provides so many more opportunities for builds and the DLC bosses are ALL amazing.

TLDR: 10/10 Would Die Again
