Don't let the price tag scare you away. Shadow of the Erdtree is the largest scale DLC I've ever experienced. Walk-able area is probably around 30-40% of the original game. This is accomplished while being more densely populated with enemies and items. Describing this product as a DLC does a disservice to it's quality and size. Some recycled content, but the new weapon classes make those areas still feel fresh. Much better described as Elden Ring 1.5.

Only real blemish is some performance issues in larger areas, but nothing too bad.

Can a DLC win GOTY? Cause this one should.

You can kill your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ teammates

My 2 hour Rust experience
-Get into game
-Wander around for a bit, start doing the basic tips
-Friend comes into the game
-Game instantly 100 times better
-Wander together
-Start cooking some food at night
-New people come by. They say don't go north. Theres a gang of Nazi's killing everyone, thanks pal
-Eventually run out of food and start killing new players to survive
-Meet a group of other new players about 5 of us total now
-We agree to stay together
-3 of them run up the hill to get food
-2 minutes later hear gun shots
-See 2 of them run down the hill
-A 3rd guy alone with a rifle shooting up the place while letting out the loudest "reeeeeee" i've ever heard
-We scrammble
-Never find them again
-Probably all died
-Find friend and wander more
-Run into a "Church", me and friend get forced inside with 2 other randoms
-We all sit down
-One guy says its too crowded *shoots one of the randoms*
-Others agreed with the decision
-Main "priest" Starts using a Chris Hansen sound board
-He stops and asks for a volunteer to be "baptised"
-Last random stands up, Immediatley gets boiling water poured on him *instant death*
-Me and friend freaking out
-They take us into a corn field
-This is it, its over
-Nope, they make us read a prayer pleadging our alligence to the "Church" and our god Chris Hansen
-Proceed to give us good loot
-Now its time for a hunt
-We all go out and start attacking random people screaming "In the power of Chris Hansen we will prevail"
This cult was basically Crusading others bases forcing them to priase Chris Hansen
-Eventually die, respawn in random area, fun while it lasted

10/10 experience would recommend

1. Spooky Skeletons
2. Spooky Skeleton balls
3. When a fatty yells "COME TO ME"
4. Those Heckin Abyss Beasts
5. Mimics, please don't bite me
6. Shrek's Swamp
7. Red eyes means run away
8. Invaders
9. Invaders cosplaying as anime characters with really big swords
10. FUGS

9/10 Definatley recommend especially if the game is on sale
