game's tight.

way too many 'touch anything and you instantly die'-type games for my fancy, but it's a real good game regardless.

I have a 1080ti, i9 7900k, and 24 GB of ram. on minimum settings @ 1080p, after trying all the tweaks and fixes the community came up with, I still can't break 50 fps on the open world, and the game still has massive stuttering. to me, it's completely unplayable. I'm sure it's a great game but it doesn't matter if I can't run it.

other games I run just fine, usually getting locked 60 in 4k. I was expecting to have to downgrade to 1440p for this game to get a smooth 60, but being unable to get anywhere close at any settings means it's refund time.

Reviews are only mixed because it's a radical departure in gameplay from the first two games and made by a different developer. But that developer is Obsidian, which tends to make solid games, and this is no exception. It's still real fun, just don't expect a diablo type game.

I will say the characters seem a little poorly balanced, though. The sword guy is like playing on hard mode.

I love Katamari Damacy. The game's fantastic.

But this is a crap port. The game boots up in windowed 1280x720, with blaringly loud audio, which makes you skip the otherwise great intro. Then it drops you into the tutorial, followed by a mini-level, all of which you must complete before being able to change any settings at all. Once you finally fix the resolution and the audio, the game seems mostly fine...except it is prone to crash at any given time. It has happened 3 times to me now and I'm done.

And the main gameplay is locked at 30 FPS. This is a PS2 game and it looks like it, the fact that my computer still has to run this at 30 FPS hurts my soul.

Oh and your audio settings aren't applied until you load your save file so every time you boot the game up it's still going to blast your speakers/headphones unless you lowered the volume via windows volume sliders.

Sigh. It's so close. All it had to do was launch with reasonable default settings and not crash and I'd be happy. But it doesn't.

I was upset with this game's performance at first; I have a pretty good rig, but I was often getting stuck well below 60 FPS, often anywhere from like 25-40 FPS when other games would be having no problems.

Then I found out if you roll back the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ recent NVIDIA graphics driver to the last version, it fixes performance.

Now I get 120 fps where I was before getting 40. With that issue solved, I have few complaints about MHW. I could nitpick for days, but ultimately it's a great game. You should play it if you like having fun.

N++ has spoiled me for all other 2D platforming. It always compares unfavorably. And really, that was just the orignal N. N++ has a metric assload of content, and it's all fun and challenging. Definitely get it if you think it looks fun, because it is.

This game actually kind of rules. The metacritic score is outdated and wrong. This game has quite a few bugs and general lack of polish, but there are no game-breaking or even game-delaying bugs. If you can see past the shoddy UI and overall presentation, you'll find that co-op dino killin' is really fun. The core gameplay is actually done quite well. It could use some more dino types and better balance, but aside from that everything is spot-on and highly entertaining.
