Fun game, wish I had a newer computer. My dual Radeon RX 6600 and my water cooled AMD FX 9590 8 core cpu are not quite up to snuff to run the game smoothly. It plays fairly good though it frequently stalls and staggers. Communication with other players is not straight forward and makes co-op play difficult for me. Still is lots of fun and challenging.

I like all types of games and this one reminds me of the feel of DOOM in the origin of the ID FPS style of play. It calms me to play it. It is just fun.

I don't normally spend much time writing reviews, but this game needs some attention.

Pro's: damn fun game.
very good physics
Great eye candy
Unique advancement system
Can play alone or in groups (spend most time alone on short long in's)

Con's: Way to many server time out disconnects.
Loss of progress on Instanced missions when disconnected for server timeouts.
Lost loot due to server timeouts.
In short My Adult son who has been my game partner since 1997 through doom series, quake series , unreal series, serious sam, duke nukem, halflife series Final fantasy several versions , Planetside2 and many others, will not play this game with me because of the frustration of time outs and difficulty in grouping effectively.

There has been some improvement of late but still the only real problem area I can see is the server disconnects, It is especially disconcerning half way through the really cool cut scene movies that detail the next mission step. All of the special effects are way cool but is seems that to many people are trying to access the available bandwith at the same time. Late night local time seem the least affected as game population appears to be down, but on a weekend afternoon, way to busy to have good consistant game play. I am a big fan of the TV show and has been on my autotune list since the very first show and this game translates well from it. Great time, but the average game play is a bit like a feeding frenzy, even though reviveing a down player has it's rewards few seem to care and revives are few and far in between. A revive self or by another player keeps you at the battle site, where a extraction take you out to a respawn point pre set in the game map close to your current location , or maybe not. so you stand a great chance of not being able to get back to the battle ground where you hard won items rot. frustrating.

All in all I think I will continue on with this game as when it works it is real fun. it has been a while since the action on screen has me ducking and dodging in my chair. (Flashback to Doom)

good Hunting All.

The Wolfenstein saga was my first true FPS, my department head at the college I was attending in 1993 passed the shareware version to me and I was hooked. This chapter of the game is the most heart rending story of the FPS world to date. The look at the realities of war and how people are ground up by the ambitions of those who are "protected" from the violence and make the rules is very true to life in my humble opinion. The action is intense and the choices made during the game play effect the outcome and is in effect 2 different games depending on the choice made in a pivotal point of the game.

In spite of the serious natter of the story line, I really had fun with it. The inclusion of the mini games of the original Wolfenstein 3D were a really fun, and brought back great memories of playing it when it was new. It really shows just how far the game world has progressed since the first 3D shooters began.

The game is not for the squeamish or faint of heart and definitely not for young children. Some of the cut scenes are adult in nature and quite well done.

If you are a fan of FPS this is a must have to add to your collection.

Early Access Review
As a long time player of online games and having been part of a few Beta programs over the years both of games and operating systems I hope to give a balanced and objective review.

The game Warhammer 40,000 : Eternal Crusade is a great looking graphic novel of epic proportion with a great deal of fantastic, highly detailed appearance modifications of gear and weapons. It looks good and is fun to play.

Having had contact with the customer support team on issues running the game when I first entered the Alpha testing, I was pleasantly surprised by the quick response and helpfulness of that team. They responded quickly to my questions and concerns and helped resolved the setup issues I had. (they were windows security setting things that most will not encounter).

The game is not perfect but is amazing, there is no doubt in my mind that this will be as good or better than any other game out there. I have 32 games on Steam and have way more that I have played outside of Steam and before the birth of Steam . So based on the appearance of the game, the great support and the fun nature and play-ability of this "Games Workshop" "bEHaviour" creation,

I Highly recommend the soon to be released ,Warhammer 40,000 : Eternal Crusade a 3rd person multiplayer battle of 4 distinct factions. Set in the distant future it is a well balanced game that requires group co-operation to succeed in defending or taking control of multiple points. Each team can be made up of several different types of players, Heavy weapons, Tactical, Ground Assault, Aerial Assault, and Healer types, each with its own special tools of war. Each of the 4 factions has it's own special abilities and skills, In essence giving a player 16 different styles of play to choose from. This game is not intended for solo type play, but is heavily dependent on group coordination. Voice communication is nearly essential to success. If you decide to play this game on public release I strongly suggest seeking a good solid Guild to join. There are several established well run and friendly guilds that have grown through the Alpha testing phase of the game development. Seek one of them out as a good Guild will help you get up to speed in the games requirements and in game advancement. As a Space Marine of the Dark Angel persuasion and member of the PG I invite you to look us up in game or in Steam.

there has been talk of the negative reviews posted, which are not going to truly reflect the nature of the game as many were written early in the testing phase before the balance and polish of the game was complete. Please check current reviews before making a choice of whether or not to join the Crusade.

This game is old school fun. If you like Killing, puzzles, lots of goodies to find and earn. Then get this game. Best part of the game is it's ability to run on low end hardware well. While recovering from the Win10 bogus battle I ran Borderlands and it's sequels on a 2006 2 core Athlon 3800 withrelative ease , though not at 1920x1080 on my normal game machine.

My biggest peeve is that the save games are stored in a windows folder that disapears when a system reset occurs (/documents/mygames/****). So I make a habit of backing up the save games from the my games folder in the document library, to a seprate drive where all my games are installed. Beware Keep Nothing on the Windows Install Drive but Windows if you go to win 10. That is if you don't want to chance a reset scrub of all your information. Windows 10 unlike all the Borderlands games ( I play 2 and prequel as well) is unstable and should not have been released to the public in such a terrible state of completion, Win7 in beta was far better than the release version of win10.

I recently made the horrible mistake of going early adapter for Window 10. It was a total nightmare. It crashed and burned to often and the only recourse without a system image stored away is a "system reset", which is nearly a clean install with all of your apps and programs erased. the old data files are stored in windows.old if you do it right, though the data is not much good with out the program that created them.

Good luck and Happy Hunting.

Agreat tale indeed, the interface took a bit to get the hang of and expect the next play through will be better. I would discribe tis as the greatest interavtive movie ever. I took about 11 hours to complete with many possible replays as the choices branch in many suprising ways. It was wwll worth the time spent and the cost was of little consequence, I am a continuing fan of borderlands 1 and 2 and will aquire the Prequel when money is available. It is a great story from the beginning and hope there are further Tales to be told. Great Job.

Early Access Review
First impression: What a FPS should be. Having cut my game teeth on Wolfenstien,Doom and Quake in ID's shareware beginnings, I found this game to be a great step forward. It is not easy, but if it is easy it soon lacks fun and challenge. I am having a bit of control issues as it is more real in its physcis than the average game of today. Also I have just recently returned to using a mouse as opposed to a trackball and am still getting used to moving the mouse around. The A.I. of the N.P.C. 's (currently robots) is excellent and random in nature, much like hunting humans. I only have played a few hours so far, but expect to spend a good deal more time in the future. An odd note on server selection is though I reside in the intermountain west the best ping times are to the EU servers, far better times than the US West or East servers. The learning curve is quick and simple with only 2 weapons , however unlike most current shooters there is no auto reload when the guns go empty. Also there is a limit to sprint and jump functions so there is no hopping to avoid fire(yeah) and sprint is soon exhausted (just like for real). In summary it is well worth watching this one , It should prove to be interesting to see where it goes and hope it does not fall apart as BulletRun did (i really liked that one). at this early stage I would say {7 of 10}. Enjoy.

Really enjoy this, seems a bit repetitive at the beginning but really develops into a wide and encompassing event. The open play environment lets you cooperate with others in challenging encounters with out having to be grouped yet grouping is possible and rewarding. The game play brings to mind Serious Sam/Doom with jet packs. I have played many games and would rank this definitely in the top 10 of all I have played in my 20 years of PC and console gaming.

BUYER BEWARE!!
Don't buy this game the support team is not at all helpful. Game looks and runs great , except all the in game text, including the menu for setup and control of game functions has missing letters, random blank spaces instead of the letters to make it readable. After several emails detailing my problem and providing dxdiag.txt and full listing of all hardware and software drivers and versions (all the latest available besides the betas) i was advised to update my up to date drivers, or maybe delete and reinstall the game or ask for a refund from whom i purchased the game. First the do not read the emails i sent wit all the information or are to stupid to understand the information provided. Since i proved i had the latest drivers and the game was running fine except for the test issue. is a truely sad fact that customer support is a joke. i sent them all the information and herad back this

Game runs fine and looks good, but all the text in the game including the setup menu has random missing letters such that the word options would appear as " pt o s" and press (h) to as "p e (h o" and the like through out the game, frame rates average 25 at 1920X1080 with mid range settings.
