This game is a labor of love. Interesting (side) quests, many options how to finish said quests and an intriguing story line. Combine this with a solid D&D system, good graphics and tactical gameplay and you have a gem. Definitely a game of the year for me.

If you make a dlc and update it which makes multiplayer totally unplayable for 7 weeks and counting, you deserve a downvote.

It has so much potential but is still plagued with an underwhelming AI and a flawed diplomacy system.

After each update and patch gave it another go but it seems to only get worse inhstead of getting better. I enjoyed it more at the release than i do it now. A more focussed team behind it, which releases patches on a weekly base instead of every 2 months would already help a lot.

Not as smooth as Diablo and yet just as entertaining. Especially with the promise of a new expansion coming up which will make the replayability of this game even higher. Hopefully improvements will be made to the inventory page and an easier way of finding out which skills belong to which class when finding/equipping an item. One of the most addicting games of 2018 for me

One of the most addicting total war games since shogun 2.

Pro's;

Great lore, amazing graphics and very unique races. Every race is totally different from the other races with it's pro's and cons. Unlike Rome 2 and Atilla the game's main focus is on battles again and not anymore on flawed diplomatics,annoying squalor and random traits that make your generals and agents useless in a blink of an eye. The DLC are fun, thoughtful and adding something to the game every time. Magic is useful but not overpowered and the AI on the battlemap is pretty decent.

Mixed:
The game is great on multiplayer but the fact that you can not start a coop campaign with both playing the same faction but with a different lord, or both with the same kind of faction is a big shame. Also the inability to do anything on my opponents turn sucks as that used to exist in the Shogun 2 expansion.

Cons:
The "scary "races are not so scary most of the time. I have played around 7 campaigns now and Chaos is never a big threat. Neither are the Undead or the beastman. And the chaos warherd is just a joke. Any of them is a nuisance at best.

Still for the many hours of fun and the knowledge that more dlc will come which will keep me entertained for many more hours I will give it a 8.5 out of 10.
