TF2 is my favorite game of all time. Unfortunately I can not recommend it to new players though in the current way it is meant to be played. If you are using the valve match making service, playing as the devs intend you to, you will run into bots that play the game with hacks. During peak times this tends to be okay since there are enough people for full servers, but due to this game only having around 15k people playing at peak it is hard to find a sever without bots.

If you want to play this game it must be done on a community server. Until they fix the bot issue I cannot change my recommendation to a yes. I am okay with no major updates ever again; I know updating old software can be hard, but they need to fix the core issues at hand at the very least. This is the least valve could do for a game they are still making money from micro transactions on... Hell valve makes money from every community market transaction someone makes in this game on top of it all...

If valve cannot do that, they need to remove valve hosted servers entirely in my opinion. Because it is just a misadvertisement at this point, even if the game is free. Not to mention how valve benefits from having TF2 falsely in the steam top 15 even though there are not actually 95K people playing at peak... It is kinda anti competitive.

The mouse issue was fixed along with added Windowed mode, though it still looks clunky for a PC game, looks like a tablet game still.

+If you had the Deluxe version of the game, you get this steam version for free
+Adds more towers
+Adds more maps
+No microtransactions just earnable in game currency such as monkey money and tokens
+Runs pretty well so far, haven't gotten to the rounds that took a half an hour to finish on the flash veriosn yet though
+Does have a Co-Op where you control half of the track, and the other person you are playing with plays the other half
+If you have a touch screen (Like a Surface) it does have drag and drop in the options menu
+Has short cut keys (-but only for drag and click, not drag and drop)

-Options menu is lacking , borderless fullscreen/ Resolution options
-Some people report crashing as well has the Exe file not even firing up
-McAfee aparently thinks this game is a virus, which is not true
-Is missing some of the premium items from the flash verison
-Some people are reporting sound issues (I normally play with the sound off anyways, hearing the popping of the bloons can get annoying really fast)

If you want to try out the game, you can go to ninjakiwi's site and try the flash version. Though, I'd suggest adblocker.

It is a good casual game, just wish they did this port better.
