In terms of music and visual aspects "The Flame in the Flood" feels like an eye-catching title but when it comes to gameplay, this game doesn't offer much.
The gameplay consists of two parts: guiding a raft and exploring ports.
In the first, you are on a very simple raft (which you can upgrade throughout the game) and your aim is to guide it to the ports. Now, since you are on flooded land, you can only go downstream. You have to just aim for the ports and try to dock as many of them as possible, once you depart a port there is no going back. Since you can't come back, your exploration gets limited and it's not very joyful.
In the ports (which lead to a variety of lands) there are resources, camps, and sometimes dangers. Limitations of carrying items hit right at the start and since there is no way of coming back to previous ports, every item that gets left behind is gone forever.
The balance of resources and dangers is somewhat weak. You mostly get elementary stuff but all of a sudden you find yourself attacked by a wild boar. Since you don't have anything to fight with, you run and make it to the next port, where instead of a boar you face a wolf, and in the next instead of one wolf now you have to face off against a pack of wolves! And the next one is a boss fight with a big wild boar. And you still don't have any access to any real weapons which making them requires having a boar pelt to create an item which with that you can create another item to use yet another item for fighting!
The limitations and imbalances, besides the not-so-user-friendly menus, easily tire you. Also, in just a few hours, everything becomes repeated and bores you out.
There is an endless mode that you probably could play so you can learn things through trial and error and use the experience in the campaign but the funny thing is that when I tried to play that mode the game said it was going to save it over my campaign saves!
If I want to say it short, "The Flame in the Flood" art is somewhat worthwhile but the gameplay doesn't do any justice to the art and lets you down easily.

The main objective of DOOM is to "rip and tear until it is done" and this game does it with excellence. Violence and excitement merge together in this game just right. The usage of classic maps is also a huge positive for me.
However, there are small problems with DOOM 2016 that are worth mentioning.
First off, I feel it was short and left me unsatisfied with the game length.
Second, there are a few bugs, more clearly, the player getting stuck in objects and NPCs which only means you have to reload the last checkpoint (which is not that bad, you get to rip and tear again). Fortunately, this problem is not persistent which could be really annoying.
And finally, I couldn't play multiplayer because apparently, it's dead. I don't know how it could be.

For me, "Children of Morta" walks on a thin line between recommended and not recommended.
On the one hand, the game has some significant bugs, not just in gameplay but in the story! You might ask how a game can have bugs in the story. Well, the story is narrated through a narrator. However, the problem arises because sometimes the narration voice is messed up; you either don't get any lines, or you get repeated lines, or lines that belong to another scene. This way, you don't get much of a story.
Some of the characters are imbalanced and you will get into a problem a lot if you use them, cause they are mostly useless for crowds and you get lots of enemy crowds.
But at the same time, co-op is a huge positive of "Children of Morta". Not only does this allow you to have fun with your friends or strangers, but because the story and characters are based on a family, you will feel more sympathetic if you play this game with younger family members. This is not something you can say about a lot of games, especially hardcore ones which makes "Children of Morta" special.

I would have liked to give a "not recommended" review for "Mass Effect Legendary Edition" and complain that the map design of first game of the collection is very poor and basically the same map was used in various missions, that even in this edition there are bugs which some of them prevent you from completing some missions, that the covering system is the whole trilogy is troublesome and gets you killed more than often, and that the EA launcher is a pain in the ass and just makes the launching of the game challenging. But it would be a lie if I said I didn't enjoy the characters, the universe, the lore, and the story and wouldn't recommend it to other people.

Before playing "The Unfinished Swan". I played another Giant Sparrow game called "What Remains of Edith Finch" which I liked a lot. Maybe it is because I'm comparing "The Unfinished Swan" to that game but I didn't enjoy it as much.
"The Unfinished Swan" is way more gameplay-oriented than "What Remains of Edith Finch". It starts very unique and caught you off guard. The gameplay mechanic is simple yet special which makes for a memorable journey. It's riddled with puzzles but they are not frustrating hard and you can pass them relatively easily.
Yet it doesn't offer much in terms of story. It's a simple one and mostly just an alibi to put you in the game. The gameplay itself has a very simple mechanic which for a gameplay-based title is not that helpful. "The Unfinished Swan" tries to give some diversity to the gameplay but in my opinion, they are either mostly not that different or just one-time use.
You might enjoy "The Unfinished Swan" as a simple, indie game more if you are not expecting much about it. Unlike me who had played "What Remains of Edith Finch" as Giant Sparrow's previous title.

"What Remains of Edith Finch" is a small game that centers around the mysteries of the Finch family. Besides the direct story, there are a lot of indirect storytelling elements present in the game for those who love to uncover mysteries. Probably the biggest problem of this game is the fact that it is a bit short, nevertheless "What Remains of Edith Finch" takes its time to unveil the story and mysteries.
I would have loved to be able to play more of this, and that's probably where "The Unfinished Swan" comes in.

"STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order" at best is just a good game, nothing special about it. But unless you are a Star Wars fan, there is not much to enjoy.
Going souls-like is a curious direction. I like harder fights. But there are a few problems with it. First of all, you can't really have your own style. Your main weapon is obviously a lightsaber and there are just two modes for it which are not THAT different from each other. After a while fights become easy, so much that you might not even die once after the initial part of the game. The fact that STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order is more of a platformer than fighting game also makes you enjoy the fight as little as possible.
But platformer-wise, it can be painful. You will find some parts of the platforming, especially on slides, which are faulty and buggy. You basically have no control over your character and the only button that works suddenly makes you hit an invisible wall and a damaging fall... over and over again.
The map design, especially on planets Dathomir and Kashyyyk, is terrible. So much that you basically have to go around the whole map to reach a nearby destination because some parts of the map are just a one-way road.
scripted parts of the game become troublesome when you go re-visit some parts of the map. The camera changes to the chase scenario even though there is no one following you anymore. Or in boss fight pits, you hear the thrilling music without a single enemy there.
And there are random frame drops all over the game. Even if your controller battery is running out the game informs you with a very intense frame drop, nevertheless anything else.
Also, EA's own launcher just adds another wall to the launch and exit of the game, if you are lucky it doesn't mess up your entry and exit.

I'm not much fond of isometric games, and I can't remember playing any roguelike before Hades, but this game had me hooked for quite some time.
Hades is thrilling, challenging, funny, and if you want to do everything it can entertain you for a while.

Unless you are a fan of Remedy Entertainment and have followed their games, I wouldn't recommend Control to you... at least not as your first experience.
Control has a lot of connections to other Remedy-developed games which if you don't know anything about them you might not understand or enjoy these connections.
Plus, Control has the same problems of other Remedy games: introduction of a core gameplay and never really giving you anything above that. You just shoot and use your abilities on enemies in each room, nothing more and nothing less.
And since the game's narrative is happening in a building (a huge building though) most of the environments are similar and therefore don't add some freshness to the game.
The two expansions help a bit with these problems, different environments and some fun moments with gameplay but the base game... not much.
However, I would say if you enjoy Remedy Entertainment's works (like myself) I recommend you to play Control.

I like this game, the visuals, audio, and story are very well done, You can see fantastic performances by actors involved in "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice".
My main problem is with the gameplay. Not that it is not good, but it feels like it is in pieces. There are platformer/puzzle sections and there are fighting parts. They basically never get mixed. You are either solving a puzzle or you are fighting. When Senua takes up her sword, you are in a fighting pit and when she doesn't have a sword in her hand, you have to solve the puzzles. You have no control over when to sheath the sword or unsheathe it. I think it would have been more fun and challenging if these two parts were mixed on more occasions.
