Haven't played too much of the campaign. Went straight into sandbox. Managing parks to make money is difficult and I kept finding myself making tiny profit margins ($100-200) and having to go watch a show or play another game or something while I got enough money to build something else. Visitor numbers feel totally random and you get severely punished for expanding your park beyond the bounds of its clientele. Spending hours crafting a park just to make one wrong decision and have it taken away takes a lot of fun out of it.

that being said, the game is charming and I enjoy the atmosphere and building parks, but I feel like the managerial difficulty prevents you from enjoying that properly.

if the difficulty gets fixed then I would recommend this game, but as it is, I wouldn't recommend this game

>set story up to be sad
>put in interesting universe and a good amout of backstory
>retcon a bunch of stuff at the end, insert magic, and break several implied rules of the universe for a happy ending
>can't even throw in a love interest because the female character is 10
this is a really really interesting concept and I love the idea but this story ruins itself in the last 10-15 minutes of reading.

victoria 2 is a game that requires patience but for such a small price you are getting a large amount of gameplay.for $20 you get minimum 1,250 without replays and blitzing every campaign (there are 125). when you dont blitz it then you have 6,250 and including alternate campaigns you have over 10,000 hours off gameplay not including replays. if you are into this genre this is a great deal.
