People are jumping in a game, that was supposed to launch in 2025, expecting a finished and polished product.
The game is really good, but it has it's problems.

Optimization is a lot better now than launch, i went from barely able to hit 30 on low, to being able to run above 60 on medium.

The water system isn't as bad as people are making it out to be, i have 16 hours in the game and currently have over 40 days of water left, it is extremely easy to get 3 days worth of water in a single mission, when you actually play the game to get a decent rig.
Combat is a bit funky right now, AI isn't really behaving like it should. Muzzle flash is blinding and weapon balancing is all over the place. But the Devs are working close to the community and listening to feedback, many problems from launch were fixed already.


If you plan to help on development, the price is fair and it's a good game to waste quite a few hours. This isn't Helldivers, you won't get 500 hours on it from the content at launch. The game isn't even close to being ready, bugs are to be expected, after all this game was supposed to launch at the end of next year.

I could write a detailed review on why this game is bad but it's a waste of my time.

well i do like not getting one shotted every time like in warthunder, but i do miss killing people in one hit.

Adding this bit to my review, players orchestrated a boycott of 2 weeks starting on the 26th and a lot of players are getting alerts from people login into their accounts and some accounts are being straight up unbanned so gaijin can inflate the numbers of players


TLDR: Just stay away from this game, the developer is completely out of touch from the playerbase and the only way players found to make them back up from decisions that made the game worse was to write negative reviews on steam because they don't listen to us on reddit and if you either try steam forums or the game forums you'll probably end up banned, gaijin has also allegedly supported russian terrorist groups in Ukraine in 2021.

I started playing warthunder in 2015, i'm almost at the 7K hour mark and i can say this game has been in a steady decline until 2019 when it just rolled down the hill at mach 1.

Game has been overrun by bot accounts on all game modes, cheaters can play without being banned because gaijin just says "there is no cheaters in the game, it's impossible to cheat in a game so complicated as warthunder".

If you enjoy naval just go for WoW or another SP game, naval matches are filled with bot accounts running premium ships that never get banned because they pay more than a normal player, it will take you months to unlock that cool battleship or end of the line cruiser you want and then you'll notice that you simply cannot afford to play it because gaijin never balanced naval and now they are starting to add more and more ships with ASM and they're premium because why not?

All those cool vehicles you see on the steam images will take you 3-4 months to get, it's ever worse for the little bird the game shows you, you'll need to play until you unlock a tier 5 vehicle to be able to even start to research it and that is not even the best part, you'll need to play with a bad starter helicopter in one of the 3 game modes you can use it and 2 of those are PVE modes that are so poorly made that you'll have more fun being destroyed by player and make more money and XP, currently with how the game is on the helicopter PVE mode it will take you more than 80 hours to unlock all the modifications for one helicopter, that is at least 25-35 hours of playtime so your helicopter becomes useful in PVP tank matches.

The economy is so bad that above tier 3 you'll unlock vehicles and probably lack the money to buy them and gaijin just makes this worse, they tried to push a update that made vehicles "cheaper" depending on the vehicles rank and it was so well made that vehicles of tier 6 had repairs 3x higher and made less money than the tier 8s.

Gaijin has over 100K players daily and one of the worst servers of any game i've seen, shots not being registered are a common occurrence in every game, tanks just popping out of existence due to a "anti cheat" protection that doesn't work, a lot of times enemies are not even looking at you but they still hit you due to the server simply not telling your game that the turret on their tank is not turned to the side anymore but pointed at you.
