Hearts of Iron IV (colloquially referred to as HoI4) is a great introduction to Paradox Interactive and their niche genre of Grand Strategy. It's easy enough that you can quickly adapt to it's controls and mechanics but also not a cakewalk. It's got a vast modding community and can be modded with relative ease. The main downside is the DLC which Paradox has a nasty habit of bundling features which should be part of the base game with the DLCs which are around half the price of the game itself each.

Overall Rating is an 8/10

I got this game as part of the giveaway just before they bundled it with Ultimate Edition and it was well worth it. Later on I bought the DLC because while playable without the DLC, the DLC is neccessary to be fully satisfied by this game.

The Difficulty Is INSANELY HARD Even On "Easy" Mode. The Graphics Make Me Cry & Finally What`s With The Remixed Game Dev Names? Like Seriously That Was Really Weird To Me.
