The video game embodiment of highs and lows. I've been playing for 4 years now and have been through the cycle over and over again. Good killer release, bad killer release, good map rework, bad new map, busted killer addon, busted survivor perk. And even the matches themselves have this yin yang of good and bad. Play 10 awful games as survivor one day, wake up the next and have 10 good games. That's why this game never gets or at least stays stale for long.
Adding onto that fact is that if you're a horror fan (mostly slasher) then chances are that your favorite character is in this game or could be added. I got into this game for Silent Hill, and many others got into the game for Chucky, Hellraiser, Resident Evil or whatever. And once you get stuck in this loop you will realize that there is nearly infinite amount of things to learn in this game, and soon the game wont feel stale and you will spend thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars on the hot goth survivor and finally you will reach DBD enlightenment.
DBD is about fashion.

One of the greatest video games of all time. The storytelling of this game is honestly mindblowing and constantly keeps you in suspense of what will happen next until it reaches its great crescendo as the game draws to a close. The character development of the game is also amazing, as they can be easily related to as they battle with their struggles not only under the oppressive regime of North Korea, but also with their relationships with each other.

The artistic direction of this game is another great point to make because it is truly master class. The attention to detail in every scene is simply astonishing, and I always find something new every time I replay the game that I didn't notice before. The final point I would like to make is on the soundtrack, since it is one of the best soundtracks to any video game I've played. The producer of this soundtrack is without a doubt one of the great creative minds of the 21st century. The music is both very fun to listen to but also holds relevance to the corresponding scene. Truly amazing.

Overall, this game is what I use as an example for the argument that video games are art. One of the greatest of all time. 10/10.

Its good for casual play

What keeps me up at night is the fact that when I played this game I realized that it was THE worst game I've ever played and proceeded to refund it. Only for me to a year later buy it again and have an even worse experience and become unable to refund it.
