Many deconstruction simulators tend to not care how you go about the task of disassembly.
Blowing everything to kingdom come would be a viable strategy in most, but not in this one.
Here, you are rewarded for separating the different materials, and sorting out the still functional equipment of the ship.

Destruction actually makes your task harder, as you now have to move thousands of tiny pieces around, and can can't cash in the comparatively large bonus for salvaging still functioning pieces of equipment.

The main issue I've seen people complain about is the shift timer: you have 15 minutes, then the shift is over.
15 minutes is simply not enough time to completely salvage one of the bigger ships this game offers.
However, they all seem to miss that there is no limit on how many shifts you can take to work on a given ship.
Sure, taking an additional shift incurs the fees you have to pay each shift, but so long as you make more in the shift than the fees cost, it's a profit.

My personal main issue however is different: there's only so much time I can spend disassembling a spaceship before I get bored. I'll come back soon enough, but it would probably help if there was something else to do in between salvaging ships. Perhaps repairing a lightly damaged ship using previously salvaged materials.

All in all, a 9/10 job simulator, of a job I'd like to have, were it not for the safety hazards. But those are irrelevant in a simulator.

Great atmosphere and fitting gameplay

A fun game, although replayability suffers a bit if you spent hours to gain resources in your previous playthough.

Hackmud is one of those games that are incredibly niche, but excellent at what they want to do.

• If you have a hard time setting your own goals, this game will likely quickly bore you, as it is a sandbox.
  
• If you are bad at finding weakpoints and experimenting with what you were given, this game will likely be too difficult for you.
  
• If you are too easy to trust, you will find that you will be taken advantage of by others.
  
• If you don't risk, you will find yourself stuck on square one.

If you are still reading at this point, This game will likely be for you.

With the rise of Cities:Skylines, this game became rather redundant, since C:S not only offers the same features, but more.

A fun game for the occasion.
Best among family/friends or on a LAN party IMO.

Portal with magnets instead of portals, is the best way I can come up with to describe this game.

If you liked portal or portal 2, you will most likely also like this game.

The best hacking sim I know of today, only topped by the uplink mod onlink.
