Cookie Clicker is way more fun than this game. Game? Waiting simulator is more like it.

One of my first impressions of this game is that it's like a (good) mix of Civilization and Heroes of Might and Magic.

4x game with heroes, quests, designing your own units down to specific gear, depletable tactical resources, not only hex based strategic combat but also tactical combat (though it can be auto-resolved if you wish to), different factions actually work differently they not only have one or two reskinned units, assimilation of minor factions, good diplomacy, and much more. Thumbs up.

Love it!

Roguelike tower defenceish, with sweet pixel graphics and really enjoyable music. Add some squad building, item equiping, weapon platform researching and a heavy dose of general you-need-to-think-what-you-are-doing-and-plan-ahead-then-rework-your-plan-when-it-blows-up-in-your-face strategy. As you progress you unlock new heroes, and new ships that each gives a new playmode, like the Driller ship that lets you play in endless mode just to see how far you can go.

Cons - Multiplayer is a bit wonky at the moment, hopefully they will adress it soon.

Early Access Review
Imagine a hexbased Fallout with lots of crafting, tactics, permadeath and a new world every time you play.
A very good game, if you like those sorts of things.

Good enough story too, gives of a slight Shadowrun vibe.

It gets boring real quick. It's just... why make a game this way?

Like this, let's say someone made a game called Chess Online. Alright! Chess! Online! Awsome!
But then when you play it you realize that chess pieces doesn't really move the way that you are used to, some moves have simply not been implemented into the game.
And for some reason the matches all take place on a 6x6 board. Well, hmmm, ok, maybe this is an interesting new way of playing chess. At least you can upgrade your pieces with new moves and hats. Hats are really important in modern games, that is a factor noone should overlook.
If you pay enough money you might actually be able to upgrade your pieces enough to take on the computer controlled pieces, in the campaign you need to pay for to get access to.
All in all, it looks like chess, at least the pieces do, but the board and how the pieces move, well, it's not chess.

And 'Jagged Alliance Online' has nothing to do with 'Jagged Alliance', no more than checkers has to do with chess. Over simplified and poorly implemented.

One of my favourite rogue-like games. If you are in to that sort of thing, this is one game you should have, or at the very least played.
